We are sadly selling our 1992 Gold (Beige Metallic) Volvo 240 Station Wagon with automatic transmission. It has the rare 3rd pop-up seat and Volvo cargo mat in the back. We're downsizing to one car to save on gas and expenses. It's truly a wonderful vehicle and has never given us a moment's trouble. Paint is beautiful - metallic and shiny like new and shows no fading whatsoever. The interior tan cloth is in great shape with no tears or significant stains. Comes with original Volvo floor mats. Headliner and dash are both in great condition (no sagging or cracks). It has power door locks, power windows. A/C and heat work well. Also has fully functional cruise control. Recently installed JVC CD player with AUX in, remote and removable face. Odometer reads 123,224 but it started working intermittently about a year and a half ago. We estimate that the actual mileage is closer to 140,000 which is really nothing for a well maintained Volvo like this one. It has all the service records (save for a few oil changes here and there) since the vehicle was purchased. It also comes with the original owner's manual and touch-up paint. It is current on emissions. Tires were replaced 4/09 (Dunlop SP20FE with road hazard protection) and have lots of tread left. Timing belt was replaced 2/10 along with all the other accessory belts. At that time the camshaft seal, crankshaft front seal and transmission pan and gasket were all replaced. The A/C was converted to 134A in 6/09 and is nice and cold. Water pump was replaced 1/09. Had a full tune-up and exhaust work (replaced front exhaust pipe to manifold, catalytic converter, pre-converter, O2 senor and ignition wire set) 3/08. Brakes are in good shape and have plenty of life left on the pads. The only things we can think of that should be mentioned or might need some attention aside from the odometer is: • Dash needs a new bulb • A/C hose underneath the driver's dash drips a little condensation if the A/C has been running for a while. • Missing a small piece of trim above the front bumper on the passenger side. We bought the replacement piece but haven't had time to install it. It will be included in the sale. • Small dent below the license plate on the back door. It's hard to find many 240s in great condition like this one. They're quickly becoming rare classics and whoever becomes the next owner of this car will be pleased!
