I have for sale my 1981 VW Rabbit 4 door hatchback (well 5 door if you include the hatch, lol). It is a diesel and has a manual transmission. I drive it everyday back and fourth to work, 54mi round trip, so the mileage you see is what it is when I listed it; but I still am driving it. So it will have more miles on it when you come to pick it up. It is a very reliable car, I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across the country. It has a new battery, radio with speakers and tires, also had the front end aligned at 137,926 miles. The injectors are less then 2 years old. I've replaced the air filter head gasket, coolant overflow resivor, valve cover gasket, and glow plugs and fuel filter this year at 137,000 miles. We have records of the oil changes since 2008. The brakes front and rear were replaced on March 15, 2008 along with the bearings packed. The transmission fluid was changed on March 18,2008 at 113,282 miles. This car has very little rust on it for it's age. I pulled the carpet out because my wife has allergies and it was bothering her to ride in it, in the pics you will see that is just paint coming off the floor coating, which is like a bedliner material. The heater does work. And it is a 4 speed not a 5 speed tranny. And the sooner it meets reserve the sooner i will stop putting miles on it, as stated in the description i am still driving this car every day to and from work and on what ever other errands need be run, its at over 145,100 miles as of this posting. If it does not meet reserve it will not be relisted, i will keep it and continue to save money on fuel cost until it pays for something nicer and newer, because it payed for itself a long time ago.
