juniortrd store 1999 Chrysler 300M Sedan Needs Transmission Work You are viewing a 1999 Chrysler 300M. I bought it December 09 from the original owner. We drove it for just under two months before something happened with the transmission. My wife was driving it and it went into "limp mode". It now does not go into reverse or drive, but when put into "autostick" mode, and shifted into 3rd gear it moves forward. I was able to drive it home in 3rd gear and it has been parked in the driveway since (from February until now). It may be something as simple as the solenoid pack, or valve body, or it could need a new transmission. I have started and let it run every weekend since. Runs great, and everything still works, AC blows cold, and heat blows hot. The only problems that I am aware of are the transmission, and the climate control fan blows full speed no matter what you set it to (needs an easily accessable module replaced). The car is in good shape. The paint is good with the exception of some scratches and chips on the hood, and scratches on the drivers side. There are two small dents. Has 17" chrome Falken Rims, and Firestone Affinity tires with plenty of tread. Has the factory Infinity Audio system with CD/Cassette. The car has keyless entry, and two remotes are included. I have only one key, but I will include the two blank transponder keys I bought for it (Never had a chance to get them cut). It supposedly has remote start and the remote is included, but it never worked for me. We loved this car for the short time we had it.
