This California car is in very good condition and is 98% rust free! It has been well maintained over the years and has had one paint job since new. This car has a brand new convertible top and new rear window seal, a beautiful interior with brand new carpet, no tears in the seats, nice door panels and recent new top end in engine, bottom end rebuild has around 40k on it! The car as it sits runs excellent and has been fully safety inspected and has passed on all levels including brakes and steering. Front tires are brand new. Don't hesitate to bid on this car. Exterior wise, the car looks great. It has a very nice 2 stage paint job in it's original color gold, and it is in good condition. The paint is a few years old, but still in great shape. Body wise, the car is very straight, other than a small ding the size of a dime in the hood that is hardly noticeable. It has 2 quarter side bubbles on the lower seam where the rear fenders meet the rear apron. Original bumpers are in fair to good shape for being original. The convertible top is brand new and was professionally installed. Convertible top frame is rust free and mechanically works perfectly. It has retained it's original sport wheels optional for the sunbug in 74, they looks to have be re-powder coated at some point and are in excellent condition with center caps and lug covers. Chrome trim around the windows is all in good original condition along with the mirrors, rubber seals, antenna and remainder of chrome trim on the car. Overall the car looks excellent, not a show car, but a great example of a dry 36 year old California car in good condition. Interior wise, the car has brand new carpeting and padding as well as recently nice original Sunbug seats with no rips or tears. Drivers side I had new padding installed. All seat functions work, they slide forward, fold forward and recline. Rear seat is in excellent shape as well and all rear seat belts and front seat belts are intact. The dash has a dash cap over the original and the original padded sunbug steering wheel is in great shape. Speedometer works and looks good, gas gauge works as well. The car has a Kenwood cassette player with 6” speakers mounted in the door panels which sound great. Glove box is in good condition and trunk leaver release is in excellent working condition. The headliner is not brand new, but is in good shape, no sagging or rips in it. Sunvisors looks to be original and in good original condition. Rear view mirror is in good shape and the courtesy light works. Interior air vent motor works as it should and vent control knob system all functions properly. Mechanically, the car has a rebuilt engine done about 40k miles ago at Mikes Automotive in Anaheim. More recently, the top end of the engine was rebuilt buy Nysco motors in Santa Ana where it got a set of new heads. It was recently serviced and saftey inspected and all mechanical aspects are in good condition. The steering is tight and there are no high speed shakes or typical steering box problems. The front tires are brand new, rears have around 70% tread remaining. Brakes were inspected and 4 corners have over 50% shoe remaining and a solid master cylinder. The transmission shifts easily into all gears with no grinding. Overall, the car runs and drives great and is ready for summer! This 74 Sunbug / Super Beetle is ready to cruise in for the summer and is a great investment as well! This is a very nice rust free car for the money. I have receipts for the head work and a reproduction copy of the original Sunbug brochure from 1974 that come with it! I am selling this car with "No Reserve", but I am asking $7800 as a buy it now. Exterior wise, the car looks great. It has a very nice 2 stage paint job in it's original color gold, and it is in good condition. The paint is a few years old, but still in great shape. Body wise, the car is very straight, other than a small ding the size of a dime in the hood that is hardly noticeable. It has 2 quarter side bubbles on the lower seam where the rear fenders meet the rear apron. Original bumpers are in fair to good shape for being original. The convertible top is brand new and was professionally installed. Convertible top frame is rust free and mechanically works perfectly. It has retained it's original sport wheels optional for the sunbug in 74, they looks to have be re-powder coated at some point and are in excellent condition with center caps and lug covers. Chrome trim around the windows is all in good original condition along with the mirrors, rubber seals, antenna and remainder of chrome trim on the car. Overall the car looks excellent, not a show car, but a great example of a dry 36 year old California car in good condition.

Interior wise, the car has brand new carpeting and padding as well as recently nice original Sunbug seats with no rips or tears. Drivers side I had new padding installed. All seat functions work, they slide forward, fold forward and recline. Rear seat is in excellent shape as well and all rear seat belts and front seat belts are intact. The dash has a dash cap over the original and the original padded sunbug steering wheel is in great shape. Speedometer works and looks good, gas gauge works as well. The car has a Kenwood cassette player with 6” speakers mounted in the door panels which sound great. Glove box is in good condition and trunk leaver release is in excellent working condition. The headliner is not brand new, but is in good shape, no sagging or rips in it. Sunvisors looks to be original and in good original condition. Rear view mirror is in good shape and the courtesy light works. Interior air vent motor works as it should and vent control knob system all functions properly.

Mechanically, the car has a rebuilt engine done about 40k miles ago at Mikes Automotive in Anaheim. More recently, the top end of the engine was rebuilt buy Nysco motors in Santa Ana where it got a set of new heads. It was recently serviced and saftey inspected and all mechanical aspects are in good condition. The steering is tight and there are no high speed shakes or typical steering box problems. The front tires are brand new, rears have around 70% tread remaining. Brakes were inspected and 4 corners have over 50% shoe remaining and a solid master cylinder. The transmission shifts easily into all gears with no grinding. Overall, the car runs and drives great and is ready for summer!

This 74 Sunbug / Super Beetle is ready to cruise in for the summer and is a great investment as well! This is a very nice rust free car for the money.
