Relisting this with a lower Buy it Now and Reserve. (Please don't waste my time emailing me for the reserve) Up for auction is my C101 Jeepster Commando Wagon style body with the factory equipped Buick Dauntless V6 225 oddfire. T-86 Transmission, Dana 20 transfer. 56,000+ miles on the odometer - I am pretty sure it is 156k with the original motor and transmission. I bought this as a toy for weekend driving, and I have never had it off road the entire time that I have owned it. Options: This Jeepster has been upgraded to power steering. I used a buick power steering pump with original Saginaw power steering components off a 73 commando partster. It has two tops, both soft- the $1000 optional top from Kayline (very desirable, as they are currently out of production), and a smaller bikini top. Wheels and tires are Goodyear Wrangler 33-12.50 15s currently on the Jeepster, but I will consider taking $500 less than asking and swap those out with a set of 31-10.50 15s that I purchased last year for my CJ-5. Sony "X-Plod" AM-FM CD player with output for MP-3 players etc. and sound is through 6 X 9 Marine quality speakers. Previous Owner (PO) added a custom roll bar welded together and bolted to the floor. Reliabilty: This Jeepster has been very reliable- starts up and runs great. Three speed transmission shifts good. I have replaced the steering components (mentioned above), the carb has been professionally rebuilt, the battery is relatively new. The clutch and motor mounts were replaced by the PO. The radiator was replaced by the PO. I had the brakes (manual) replaced, and replaced the front closed knuckle felt seals on the front axle. PO lifted the vehicle to allow clearance for the larger wheels and tires, and added new shocks. It is now a "spring over" axle design. Four Wheel drive works wells, shifts good. Front manual locking Warn hubs. Body - Front sheet metal has been replaced, but there was no frame damage involved. Rot in the usual Commando spots- both rockers and the corners behind the rear wheels. The inside cab floor has been replaced with new sheet metal and powdercoated. The floor in the rear wagon area has not been replaced, but is good except for some spots near the tailgate. Rear valance is good. The outer tailgate needs some paint attention, but not rotted. Lower doors have some small pitting. Hood has two areas that need attention. Front frame cover is missing. Front bumper has been replaced with a steel CJ bumper by PO. Rear Bumper needs to be rechromed, but is in good shape. Seats are in good shape. Front Windshield seal needs replacing. The part is $58 from the parts dude located online. The gas tank seal needs replacement also. The Parts Dude also has it, for $10. Electrical - Headlights, tailights, directional signals, hazards all work. Interior lighting works, but some of the dash lights need to be replaced. PO had fog lights, and the wiring is still present under the hood. Overall, this is a great vehicle and fun to drive. I get lots of looks, and everytime I drive it I get the inevitable "What is that?" Will deliver within 250 miles for an additonal charge.
