For sale a very well taken care of 2001 Dodge Dakota with low mileage. The truck is a 4.7 V8 Dodge Magnum SLT with crew cab and matching color camper. The reason why the truck is being sold is because is presumed that the rocker arms and gaskets in the right side of the engine went bad and I don’t have the money to fix it. I cannot take the truck to a mechanic so I had the mechanic whom does the oil changes and maintains the truck come over to my house to check out the truck and he stated that the rocker arms went bad. The engine itself was never opened; the mechanic looked at the water and listen to the truck as he turned over the engine and he said it was the gasket and the rocker arms but it could not guarantee until the engine was opened. there is visible water in the oil though the engine does turn over but it sounds as if there broken pieces in the right side of the engine. But I am not a mechanic nor am I pretending to be one so I am only expressing what I was told by the mechanic whom checked out the truck. The truck itself was not driven much, it sat in the garage for months at a time, and the oil was changed every 3 months even thought the truck was not being driven. The truck was also started weekly and kept running for 10min but it was not driven, this was done to keep the battery charged. With that said, I have no idea what happened to the truck but it happened and I don’t have money to fix the truck and the wife is nagging for me to sell it, so if you know how to fix it or if you know someone that can; you can have a great truck for a relatively low price compare to the ones being sold on eBay. The transmission is strong, never missed a gear. The AC blows cold air. The truck also has a camper with a large EGA on the rear window. There is a dent in the right side of the bed, the dent is by the rear passanger side. The interior of the truck is clean with no tears; I have no kids so the truck was well kept. The truck is also smoke free. The truck has dual pipes with cherry bombs so it’s quite loud, it always had a healthy sound to it. All the electrics work on the truck.
