1970 Mustang bought in the spring of 1997 for $4,500 up in New York where I was going to school. Replaced most of the body in 1997 except for floor panels, only rust spots I know of are on the floor panels, there is also a small dent in the driver's side door which I'm told can probably be pushed out by hand. Had engine replaced summer 1998. 351 WINDSOR was in it when I bought it, great engine (better than the Cleveland), Top loader 4 speed installed in 2000, heater core installed in 2000 as well, tires replaced in the last year, new battery just put in, had the clutch adjusted this year. Original interior. I drive it on and off throughout the year. No A/C or radio currently in it. It has speakers in it that I bought in 1998, but the radio was stolen out of it in 2000 and I haven’t put anything new in it since so I have not tried to see if they still work. Installed my own fuel and temp gauges above the dash. Runs great, great engine, hate to sell it, just don't have time to put into finishing it up. I spent 2,000 on the new engine, 12,000 on the body work, and probably another 3,000 on everything else. As far as mileage the indicator isn’t working but the car shows over 200,000 miles on it, the engine itself, the transmission, the alternator, battery, tires do not have that many miles on them obviously. I can only estimate the mileage by going through its history since I bought it. In 1997 it was my main car however since I was at the U.S. Military Academy in New York, I didn’t get a chance to drive it, had another car at the time, and I had the Mustang in a shop getting all the body work done in Carlisle PA. In mid 1998-2000 it was still my second car, I drove it probably a couple times a month and put no more than 5,000 miles on it. From 2000 to 2002 I took the insurance off it except for when I had to move, I probably only put 2,000 miles on it during that time. From 2003 to 2006 I drove it on and off again probably putting 5,000 miles on it max. From 2006 to late in 2007 for about 18 months I didn’t drive it at all as I was in Iraq and it was parked at my house. I got home got it going again and drove it for a year from late 2007 to 2008 probably putting 12,000 miles on it max. I bought a car in 2008 and rarely drove the Mustang up to this year and put around 3,000 miles on it. Total miles I’ve put on it since I put in the new engine, transmission, and body work, in my best estimate would be roughly 27,000 to 30,000 miles. Most banks and credit unions do not finance vehicles older than 2001 or with more than 100K miles. Make sure if financing that your financial institution accepts the year and miles of this vehicle before making an offer. Please arrange financing prior to making an offer.
