Here for auction is a clean driver 1956 Pontiac Chieftan 4 door hard top. The car is clean and a descent driver. To make her real nice she needs to be restored but she looks good going down the road as-is (Definetly no show car). The paint is shiny but only OK a good 20 footer. The interior is actually pretty clean The seats and door panels are in nice shape. The carpet is serviceable but does show some wear. The original motor was just rebuilt and freshened up with all new bearing and rings and rebuilt heads. The car runs excellent and the trans shifts smoothly and she stops well. Mechanically she runs and drives great. This would make an excellent driver or a good start to a restoration. Unfortunatley she has some rust in the rockers on both sides(see pictures). This car is being offered AS-IS with no warranty expressed or implied. You are more then welcome to come take a look in person or have the car inspected by a third party prior to sale and I can be available for inspection pretty much anytime.
