This is a Listing for my Son. I bought this car when I was 12 years old. I pulled out the seat and the incorrect interior panels and was going to replace the floor boards, but my older brother bought an Opel GT to fix up. Since he would be able to drive first, I parked my car and helped him fix his Opel GT. Now my father has found a 1969 Saab Sonett 2 and I have to sell the spitfire to buy it. This car runs and drives. The speedometer, fuel, and temperature gauge all work. The odometer and tachometer don’t work. I recently rebuilt the brake master cylinder. The clutch cylinder was rebuilt by the previous owner. The original battery box bottom rusted out, but the previous owner put in a plastic battery box. The left tail light is not working, so I advise picking-up with trailer and not driving it home. The car has part of an aftermarket muffler which needs to be repaired before the car would be road ready. This car was originally red then later painted white and the previous owner painted it Wal-Mart spray paint green. There is a small dent in the driver’s door. The Oklahoma plates have not been changed from 2 owners ago. One of the owners before me got tired of taking the top rack out then putting it back in. He put in a folding rack. I believe he used a 1500 spitfire top rack, but I find it easier to use than the original. I have the factory rack if you want it. I have 5 brand new tires, tubes and 4 wire wheels (set of 4 wire wheel cost $1099 from Victoria British ) I have (3) splined hubs( you need 4 which are $50 each from Victoria British) and the $50 bolts to bolt the splined hubs to the car. I will sell all tires, tubes, rims, splined hubs and conversion bolts for $600 .This car has all original Lucas light all around the car. I have the original Triumph radio in the trunk, the original valve cover cap, and the bumper which will go with the car.
