Vehicle Detail
We bought this to pull my boat back in 2004 from a used car dealer with 96k miles on it. I paid $4,271 and another $1,000 in finance charges and minor repair work. I sold my boat 3 months after we bought the Rodeo. Then my license was suspended for failure to renew so the Rodeo was parked in the garage. Then fuel skyrocketed and I refused to drive anything but my wife's 4 cylinder Nissan car due to fuel prices. In 2007 I bought a Ford pickup truck so the Rodeo remained parked, and that is how I still have a Rodeo with such low miles. The mileage is exact and a photo of the odometer is here. The alternator was changed, plugs and wires were changed, tires were changed and starter was changed. Brake pads were recently changed too. It does great in the snow and ice (I drove it during one winter a few years ago lol), and pulls nicely. Onto the negatives.... One power window switch is bad (found it on ebay for $20, but have not bought it), another I think is bad but it is intermittent (sometimes it works fine). The battery is certainly due to be replaced it has sat for several years in storage. Also I think it needs a muffler as it was kind of louder than usual last time I started it. It shows a check engine light (has since I got it) but the owner before the dealer cut the wire so nobody has been able to plug it in to a machine to see why it is on. I have been told it could be a reminder light to change oil that nobody has reset or it could be legit and something simple like an oxygen sensor for $12. I honestly don't know, but it has always run fine for me even with the light on. The spare wheel that mounts on the rear hatch has been stolen, as has the stereo (but the LCD TV screen was left - go figure?). The rear hatch's electronic push button release did not open the hatch last time I pressed it (could be a fuse I guess). I know I probably should put a reserve on it, but I hate to think of losing all that I have put into it, and all the valuable miles I have saved by not driving it. Good luck bidding, here goes...
