Vehicle Detail
1987 Buick Regal T-Type. About 130000 miles. I've had the car for about 2 1/2 years and believe it to be a Texas car for its life. A/C works and blows cold. Power windows and locks work. Cruise control and power antenna do not work. No rust. Some hail damage from a storm last year (hood, roof, trunk). A few door dings here and there. You can see from the pictures the rear plastic bumper filler has rotted out. Car is silver (repainted before I bought it). Paint is ok. I'd call the car a 10 footer (looks good from 10 feet) but any closer and the dents and paint blemishes will reveal themselves. Car runs and drives great and I wouldn't be afraid to take it across country. It just started doing a high idle (idles about 2k) but I don't have the time or inclination to fix it. Also, it has a mid idle hesitation (coughs and sputters around 3k and clears around 4K rpms). There's either a slow electrical drain or it needs a new battery (if it sits for more than 3 days the battery is discharged). I replaced the alternator but I believe the car died so many times it blew the new battery out. I've probable only put 5k miles on it since I've owned it. Doesn't use oil but runs a little rich. Mechanically I'd give it 7 of 10 (idle and mid rpm sputter). I haven't pulled the plugs but because it runs rich I'm guessing they are fouled. Interior, 6 of 10. Exterior, 6 of 10. Call with any questions or for more information. 210-410-5168. Car is in San Antonio, TX. I would encourage you to come and view the vehicle if possible. I think I have hit all the goods and bads of the vehicle but may be forgetting something. Listing it for $8,000 whith any reasonable offers accepted. I may also list it on Craigslist and in my local paper. No warranty. Sold as is. I hold the title. I've never taken it to the track however my butt tells me it's a high 13 second car (when it wasn't having high rpm issues). Had it dynoed awhile ago at 270 hp and 240ish tq at the wheels. Interior is ok: standard gray and everything is intact. Dash is cracked, cig burns in drivers seat. Tilt steering. Stuff I've done to it (don't remember brand names but I'll look for the receipts) since I've owned it. New alternator New belt New window motors Polyurethane bushings from front to rear Sport springs (stock height) Front and rear sway bars Back seat brace New shocks New tires New turbo (capable of 600+ hp) New transmission and torque converter (capable of 600+ hp) Had aftermarket front scope intercooler (unsure name) on it when I bought it.
