Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1973 Chevy Corvette Sports Wagon. Yes, I did say Wagon. This is a rare car and not many are left. This is one of the original Eckler Wagons. Not a kit car added by a body shop. This wagon is in GREAT shape. Just came out of paint booth with brand new Midnight Blue paint. Doors, hood, and rear wagon glass were removed for painting. New door and T-top seals. Comes with almost new interior (3 yrs old) including door panels, seat foam and covers, and front and rear carpet. Console is original and in great shape. Dash has no signs of wear or cracks and looks new itself. The rear wagon glass is tempered 1/4" tinted glass. The rear hatch door has 2 locking devises to secure the door. Door tag reads, Trim 413 - Paint 927. I built and installed a rear speaker box for show purposes. Kicker 750 watt amp (birth certificate shows 926 max watts) 2 -12" Kicker subs wired to the amp and 2 - 6x9 Kicker speakers wired for voice to the radio. Sounds great! Never abused and played Country music only. In the tire jack box is a JVC 12 CD remote CD exchanger. I didn't want to cut the dash for a newer style radio. The in-dash radio is an after market cassette/AM/FM with the Corvette logo on the face. Nice! If the winning bidder doesn't want the amp, speakers, and CD exchanger, I will deduct $500.00 from the selling price. Your choice! Underneath of the L88 hood is the number matching 350 engine with a turbo 400 behind it. Stage II shift kit in tranny for a sports shift. I just recently added the polished Edelbrock Performer intake with a new Edelbrock 600 cfm electric choke carburetor on top. New polished air cleaner. New chrome alternator. New flex fan. New upper radiator hose and new heater hoses. New Hooker Comp chrome headers just installed. The Hooker exhaust tubes are almost new with brand new mufflers inside. Fires right up and in great running condition! The car comes with 2 sets of T-tops. 1 pair is a very rare Super Blue glass. As you can see in the pictures, the glass has some bubbles in the lamination. The other pair is the original solid type. Both are painted to match the car. The solid pair I never finished for installation. They do come with used liners that need to be sprayed with interior vinyl matching paint. The solid pair also does not have any seals. Also the original T-top storage 1973 covers are there and are in good shape. No A/C. The 4 headlights are behind the front grilles. They are in working order. I have only driven the Vette once when it was dark. The headlights do show the road. But it is not a good night driver. 8 x15 Ralley wheels with new beauty rings and top hats with the Chevy Bowtie in the center. (7 in total top hats). The extra 3 are from losing 1 and having to buy 4 more to replace 1. Tires are in very good shape with little wear. 225/60R15 The odometer shows 59,647 miles. But it broke after I bought the car 4 yrs ago. The car probably would have more like 68,000 to 70,000 miles on it. The speedometer still works, so I never replaced it with one I bought from a car that shows 44,000 miles. The fuel gauge has just recently quit working also. I have a 1973 original for that also. Both will need to be installed and come with the sale of the car. I bought a pair of front pillar covers when I rebuilt the interior. I used the right side but the left side was still good. The new left side is in a box and will come with the car. Also comes with a custom made California Car Cover with a value of $300.00 Any questions you can call me at 918-351-9929, Kyle. I will consider all offers. This is a real eye catcher and draws a crowd no matter where you are! A $500.00 deposit is required by Paypal within 3 days. Remaining total to be paid with cash or cashier's check before the car leaves my possession. There is fresh oil in the engine and I wouldn't hesitate to drive it across country. So, if you want to fly into Tulsa, Oklahoma, I could have the car waiting there for you or I could help with a car transporter on my end. Shipping is at the buyer's expense. The car has no warranty whatsoever. As is.
