Vehicle Detail

This is a 1989 Dodge Diplomat. It is a police clone. I am the second owner of this car and it was literally owned since new by a little old lady. It's a Florida car and is in excellent mechanical condition. You can drive this car home. It runs and drives very well. Body is good, paint is bad, no rust through and only one small place of surface rust (about the size of a pencil eraser or smaller). One small dent on the rear passenger door. I am a police officer and the "M" series Mopar cars were the first police cars I drove in the early 1980's. I bought this car to turn into a parade vehicle but have way too many projects so it has to go. Only 84,000+ miles. It uses no oil, no knocks, pings, rattles, smoke, nothing. Starts right up and handles well. It is my daily driver so the mileage will be a bit higher at the end of the auction. The bad: Headliner was shot so I ripped it down. Needs a new one. The air conitioning needs to be re-charged. It worked last summer but needs to be recharged. I don't believe there are any leaks. Windshield has a chip and is starting to crack. Power locks work to lock the doors, but don't unlock and have to be unlocked manually. I would drive this car from my home in Michigan to Alaska without batting an eye. It is a nice car especially for the year. It has been dealership maintained it's entire life. It's not seen a Michigan winter that I know of and I've owned it for 10 months. I stored the car inside over the winter to keep it away from Michigan road salt. I have an extra set of factory rims for the car. The car currently has a set of Chrysler Rally wheels (police wheels) and police hubcaps on it. Like I said, I was going to make a cop car clone out of it for parades. The tires are at about 80% (guesstimate-not a measurement). The tires are evenly worn and in good shape as is the spare tire. I hate to see it go because I'll never find another with this mileage in this condition....but too many projects and not enough garage space or time. Please don't bid if you're not a serious bidder. Also, I won't disclose the reserve price but can tell you that the reserve price is set at exactly the amount of money I have into the car (cost of the car plus the wheels & hubcaps). I AM NOW LISTING THIS CAR FOR LESS THAN I HAVE INTO IT. MY RESERVE PRICE IS $1500.00 I AM LOSING MONEY, ESPECIALLY WITH EBAY LISTING FEES, BUT NEED IT GONE. $500.00 deposit due via Paypal within 48 hours of the auction close. Cash only on remainder upon pickup of car. Deposit is non-refundable. No tire kickers. If you have any questions, please shoot me a message. GOOD LUCK BIDDING! On May-21-10 at 10:59:33 PDT, seller added the following information: 318 V-8 engine with 2 barrel carb. Again, it is a police clone and does not have the police anti-sway bar on the rear axle or the 4 barrel carb etc.
