Blue with white stripes 1972 BMW 2002. It has an Alpina VIN tag, but unsure if it is a real Alpina. Alpina DE attempted to verify the vin and engine SN, but their records were inconclusive, but it wasn't a no. Alpina VIN matches the steering column VIN tag. The head has been changed to an E21, but it does have the period tower cross bar and the magnesium strut tower upper rings. It has small stepped header and dual 40mm Solex side drafts. Fired engine once in last 3 years and it ran but carbs need tuning. Rear towers have been repaired before my purchase. The fuel tank is in great shape and I do have a fairly new spare. The spare wheel well is rotted, but does have an original spare (never used with Continential band) and jack. Also have spare side glass and regulators. The radiator has been re-cored recently. Rear seat in good condition. Note: this is not a driving vehicle. I purchased "as is" to strip, cage, and race as a vintage Alpina, so it didn't matter to me. I've never touched the car since. It has been stored inside a car hauler since it was when acquired in Pennsylvania in 2007. It has never been titled in my name, but I hold the previous title from Pennsylvania. Title states actual mileage as 58150 from 25July2006.
