This is a beautiful car that has served my family well. It is extremely comfortable, even for very long drives, with a fantastic leather interior, power seats, windows, etc. The faux-convertible top is in excellent condition. Undercarriage and suspension are also very good, particularly for its age and mileage. If you look at the pictures, you will see a couple of rust spots - particularly on the passenger side rocker panel - and missing trim pieces. I have tried to capture the flaws... nothing to hide here. Other than that, the body is solid with no rust-through. Doors, hood and trunk all shut/seal tight. Very quiet and smooth driver. This vehicle passed its State of Massachusetts safety inspection in August of 2009. The engine is great. It is the 4.9 liter V8, and it is still very strong. Now the problems:1) The air suspension needs to be serviced. It failed about 2.5 years ago, but the car is so comfortable, we never touched it due to the cost. 2) The air conditioning is gone. With its comfortable interior and garage storage, this has not been an issue to us; my kids were driving it for the last year, and they simply didn't care. 3) ... and this is the BIG one... The transaxle is shot. Were this a rear-driver, I would simply replace the tranny and keep the car. However, this is a front-wheel-drive car, and that transaxle job is VERY complicated... you will NEED a lift, engine hoist, and the ability to remove substantial portions of the vehicle's frame. For this reason I recommend this item be considered only by a competent mechanic or someone who can use it as a parts car. The tranny failed during this past winter (bummer... its front-drive makes it a GREAT car in the snow), but I run the engine weekly. All electronics appear to be in good condition, even the battery. The car will start, run, and even engage forward and reverse gears. However, it CANNOT be driven any distance on the street... it needs to be towed or otherwise carried to your destination. This car is being sold AS IS, WHERE IS. I will NOT accept returns, because I am selling it FOR PARTS OR REPAIR.
