1997 DODGE RAM 1500 SLT 4WD 5.9L V8 Auto -- NO RESERVE ! ! ! New battery this past November, this truck started EVERY time this past winter. My son used it mostly to drive back and forth to school. The year before it was my mainstay daily driver back and forth to the jobsite, frequently hauling fuel in for the dump trucks. I've since upgraded to a 4WD Dodge 3500 dually so its time for this one to go. Used trans put in early in 2009, it currently has about 85,000 miles on it. Its got a "buck" or "chuggle" when the torque converter locks in, I'm told it could be the O2 sensor, the check engine light is on. I just drive it with the "O/D OFF" button, disconnecting the O/D and it works just fine. I've been using it for a farm truck of late, don't go very far with it, but it'll pull a wagon or a trailer just fine. Pulled the girl friend outta the ditch this past winter without even a groan. Reese-style hitch and 4-prong light hookup included. I"ve tried to highlight the surface-rust / rust areas on the pics: Below the drivers door, above the driver's side rear wheel well on the box - same on the passengers side rear wheel well. My oldest ran it into a concrete filled steel pole two years ago - the left front fender and hood's paint doesn't quite match the rest of the truck, but its a work truck and works for me. Drivers seat torn on the side, otherwise cab interior is in good shape. Would make someone a GREAT chore truck, or weekend work truck. Not super pretty but COMPLETELY functional !
