Vehicle Detail

Lower Reserve....Thanks for looking...You are bidding on a 1975 AMC MATADOR COUPE with 59,928 original and documented miles!! The motor is a V-8 304 cubic inches with a large list of updated and new parts (see parts list below) and has automatic transmission. We are the second family to own this awesome car, and we were in the middle of the restoration, but need to sell it to pay for my daughters college (hate to do it, “but her education is more important than a sweet custom ride”...per my wife). Everything in the car works, even the factory air and rear defroster. I removed the front and rear bumpers, and most of the chrome trim, and will include them if you want the original look instead of the custom look. I will include the new JVC stereo and new box speakers. I started and finished the majority of the body work and primer, but a few things still need to be done, I also started covering the interior dash and doors with carbon fiber fabric, this is a great look. The seats are still the original vinyl and is in fair condition, my plans were to change the vinyl to a fabric or leather. Please look at the extra photos of the two finished Matadors (yellow and red, and the photo of the finished interior...remember, the last three photos...yellow and red Matadors and the finished interior is what I had planed the car to look like, and is not what you are bidding on), the yellow paint was the look I was going for, so as you can see, this car would make an awesome custom. The car has 4 new tires, and 5 original AMC hubcaps and a full size spare in the trunk. The trunk has been recently sprayed with a sealant and is ready for carpet. Only a limited number of coupes were manufactured in 1975, and this makes the car even more desirable. New engine parts include: complete tune-up, new fuel pump, belts and hoses, complete carburetor adjustment, new battery with 7 year warranty. New brakes, brake lines, brake hoses, new master cylinder and brake booster, also replaced the turn signal switch, bearings and seals. The fuel tank was removed and sealed and comes with a lifetime warranty to never rust or corrode. I removed the original chrome drivers door mirror, and bought two 1978 Trans-AM mirrors (the drivers mirror is adjustable and the control will need to be mounted on the interior door panel). The engine runs awesome, I was going to replace the engine, but it has a ton of power as it is (the only thing I was thinking of doing was to install a 4 bbl carburetor). The car in not perfect, and was a work in progress. The windshield will need to be replaced, a large rock fell from a trailer and smashed it. It still has some body work (but not much) to be done, a bit of bondo and some sanding, then it will be ready for paint (in one photo you will see on the drivers rear quarter panel has three colors painted on it, this was a test that I shot when I was trying to find the right color to paint the car). Note that if you are a California buyer, this car is exempt from smog. As you can see, I was very serious with the restoration of the engine, body and interior of my Matador, and a lot of the work has already been done for you. I hate to sell her, but I must. Let me know if you have any questions.
