Vehicle Detail
Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 Offered at NO Reserve… Original owner! 90,000 miles! Fantastic color combination! Well kept & unmolested! Rare body-style! This is a one owner truck that has never been more than 100 miles of where it was sold new. It was utilized by the owner of a horse stable & riding school as his grocery-getter. He took pretty good care of it however used it for the purpose it was intended for. Purchased out of the showroom in 1990 it is an awesome red & white combo and is sharp to this day. Truck has always been maintained and repaired as necessary. Runs well and is super reliable. It has been kept in barn out of the weather, mostly. No accidents and seemingly very original. All major components are original. It is a top-of-the-line Scottsdale edition which was the high-end trim package. Tilt wheel, cassette deck, cloth seating surfaces, Rally wheels, etc… There are scuffs, blemishes, chips, bugaboos, scratches, paint spatter, etc… Additionally, paint/body has been touched up & painted as seen fit. Bed is very rust-free with some small scrapes at end of bed. (See photos). Used mostly to move around hay bales and bagged feed. PLEASE let the detailed photos speak mightily as testament to the overall condition of this truck. Runs well and is seemingly dependable. It has excellent oil pressure, no smoking, plenty of power across the torque-curve. I have driven it locally and am convinced that it would make it to Alaska without major incident! I would however treat it to a tune-up to ensure everything is performing as well as could be. It may also have a noisy rear brake. Over $1000.00 in recent work including new gas tank, exhaust components, etc… (Receipts available & included in sale…) Don’t let expectations exceed reality. It is a 20+ year old pickup truck that has been used. It has however NOT been abused as one can see by the condition it is in. If you’re looking for a new truck, call your local dealership. Bring about $30,000 too…If you are looking for a virgin, go to church. (Say a prayer for me while you’re there…) The owner is a real-deal cowboy who actually used the truck as men used to. This was before pickups were adopted by everyone as gardening tools and to look cool in town and Home Depot pretending to be rough & tumble. A pickup from the days before people who wore panties drove them. He used it around his stable & farm. There are some spots of white paint from painting fences and such on the truck. (Should be easily cleaned up…See photos…) Some staining on rubber floor mat. Seats have some small paint marks some wear as clearly shown in photo. A fine example of a somewhat rare body-style Chevrolet pickup truck… Step-sides made up approximately less than 15% of pickup production. The pickup rear fenders were made of reinforced fiberglass with steel underlay. This greatly reduced weight (and improved mpg somewhat…) and added awesome, timeless style to what was a workingman’s truck. They also didn’t last too well if you beat on them as the fiberglass would crack and splinter. Well, here’s your chance to own it! Good luck bidding. Again, offered at NO RESERVE to the highest bidder. As expected on a vintage vehicle, there are no warrantees either expressed or implied. Vehicle is sold “As is”. Buyer is responsible for shipping and/or obtaining. Vehicle has been portrayed accurately and critically in my judgement. Considering there is No Reserve, and that this is a pretty rare truck in fantastic condition, it will make someone very happy and proud. Clearly this truck has survived quite well and is still running strong and looking good. Considering its age, vintage, intended & actual use, it will provide someone with lots of use and a lot of pride. It gets lots of compliments and everyone wants to offer to buy it. It turns heads everywhere… Regarding the famous “How much to buy it now?” question: Here, I’ll give you a price…if you message me. I am going to give you a realistic & reasonable price. I will provide bank wire info that will allow you to send the money and own the truck. There is really no excuse not to do so. Send the money…the truck is yours! I am not going to commit interstate wire fraud, which is a federal felony, to sell a 20+ year old used pickup truck. It is really quite a simple solution. However, if I send you a price and you don’t have an intelligent reply within hours, you will be blocked from bidding. Nothing personal, just a business solution to avoid time-wasters & story-tellers. I am not trying to come across as unreasonable or a jerk. There are just a lot of clowns out there with nothing better to do than torture honest, Americans trying to sell something.
