Vehicle Detail
1969 Ford F-100, V-8, manual, 2-wheel drive, short bed, with four new chrome wheels and four brand new tires, plus one original wheel as spare. The odometer only has five digits so the real mileage is 111,554. The truck starts every time and is a lot of fun to drive. We only drive it locally but it is very reliable. Even on the coldest days just choke it and it starts after a few cranks. All trim is in place and very straight, the grill has a few small dings but is generally in good shape. The engine is the original 360 cubic inch and pulls strong, and the truck tracks straight. I had the brakes rebuilt several years ago and they are excellent, with less than a thousand miles on them. It was originally red but was repainted white to match the custom made canopy, which is included. The canopy was made a few years ago and the wood trim accents have faded, but it is still very serviceable and good looking. It's wired with an overhead light that isn't currently connected, but was bright enough for reading on camping trips, and has sliding windows with removeable screens. The interior is completley intact, but could use updating. All of the gauges work, along with the heater, and the glass is clear and uncracked, Both side windows roll up and down. The am radio works but needs a new antennae to improve reception. The drivers door needs a new handle, sometimes it closes fine, but other times it won't latch completely. The horn ring is missing from the steering wheel, but the horn switch is a large white button under the dash on the left side of the steering wheel. The horn works. The centering springs on the transmission shifter are gone so the shifter doesn't automatically center itself. The transmission works great in all gears, but you have to shift deliberately. It's a classic truck in wonderful shape that can be driven as is for years, and would be perfect for restoration. It's in Northern Nevada and the buyer is responsible for pickup and delivery. Payment must be made in cash or money order prior to pickup.
