Vehicle Detail
We are selling “His and Her’s” matching Greenwood-bodied Corvettes. The BLACK 1995 6 speed is listed in my OTHER auction. You are bidding on the RED 1994 Corvette in this auction. It has just under 61,000 original miles, is an automatic and has the completely stock 300hp engine. The drive train is tight. Keep in mind that it is a 16 year old car so it’s one of those cars that looks really nice from 15 feet away but not quite as nice closer up. It’s not bad but it’s being used as a regular car so it’s certainly not a show car. Here are the particulars: I recently punched in the driver’s side clearance light with the trailer ball on my jeep when I backed it up a bit too much while rearranging cars in the driveway! I was NOT happy! At some time before I bought the car the original Bose Sound System was replaced with an Alpine CD player but the power antenna appears to not have been connected so the radio only gets local stations because the antenna doesn’t go up. The CD player works fine. The air conditioner works great. You can feel a slight vibration when you step on the brake pedal so I suspect a rotor needs to be turned. The door rubber around the windows is starting to show it’s age and has cracks. (it is 16 years old). The tires are in great shape with plenty of tread. The top is new about a year ago and was replaced by Al Knock Corvette Restorations in El Paso, TX. The driver’s seat has been hand stitch in the bottom center at some point in it’s life but it is not torn. The high-low beam switch for the headlights won’t engage the high beam setting. There’s a small chip in the windshield out of the viewing area. The parking brake handle has a broken release mechanism. These cars have not been abused while we’ve had them (we’re both 67 years old) but I can’t vouch for the previous owners. We bought both these cars on eBay not quite 3 years ago. We’ve always used Mobile 1 oil in both of them and neither burns oil or has “engine noises”. These were both going to be retirement restoration projects but other things have come up so we decided to sell them instead. We’ve found them VERY comfortable for high speed cross-country driving. Both have been driven on numerous trips between Florida and New Mexico. Out west where the speed limit is 80 the cars only turn 1850 rpm so they’re loafing along and get about 26 mpg at that speed. Cruising at 65 mph the engines turn just under 1500 rpm and get about 28 mpg. Around town we get about 22. I would not be afraid to take either of these cars on a cross-country trip. Deposit of $500 due at close of auction by PayPal with balance due by cash or cashier’s check in 7 days.
