Vehicle Detail
I am selling a very rare and hard to find 1956 Ford F100 pickup truck. This truck is an original Big Back Window, Fordomatic, Custom Cab. This truck has all of the stainless trim around the windshield, door glass, and wrap around back glass. The drive train is complete with 272, or 292 y-block motor, fordomatic tranny, and rear end. The original radio is still in place with stainless bezel, and roof speaker in the headliner. This truck also has the fresh air heater, stock fordomatic column, and bench seat. There are no aftermarket holes in the dash. This truck does not run or drive. The motor is not stuck, but if I were to restore this truck, I would want to go through it. The tranny shifts fine, and the truck rolls well. The entire drive line is stock original with no modifications. The body will need work, as this is an original Alaska truck. Please understand, that I am not a body man, but my opinion of the body is as follows. The front fenders are in nice shape with no rust. There are some dents on the front edge, but nothing serious. The inner fenders have rust where they bolt to the cab. The hood is in good shape and does not need to be replaced. The gravel pan is dented along with the chrome grille. They can be repaired, but I would find it more cost effective to buy new parts from midfifty f100 parts or dennis carpenter. The cab will need knew front corner patches, and rocker panels. The floor is solid. I have gotten under the truck to inspect the rust condition, and I could not find any through rust in either floor pan, or back edge of the cab. The rear corners are starting to flake with rust, but I don't think a full patch panel is necessary. There are some dents around the gas filler neck, and the driver door has some dents around the door handle. There is a shallow dent in the roof, but nothing serious. The running board on the driver side is rough, and the passenger side is good. I am including much nicer running boards that are very solid, but do need very minor work where some pin holes have started to show. The box is good, but the front pan has a dent in the center that will need to be straightened. The box sides are straight except for the driver side rail near the end gate. The end gate is nice, and does not need to be replaced. The ribs and wood inside of the box are rotten, and will need to be replaced. The rear fenders have dents which are pictures. I am including an additional set of rear fenders that are much better, but will need patch work where they meet the running boards. Over all, this is a very restorable truck. I have never seen a big back window 56 that has the custom cab fordomatic options with a radio. I would love to keep it in my collection, but it needs a home that will restore it. The title is clear, and I am selling the truck in "AS IS" condition. This truck is in need of restoration, and cannot be driven at this time. Please e-mail with any questions, or call my cell at 402-650-6155. I do accept money wires from international buyers. Shipping arrangements and costs is the responsibility of the buyer. All money has to clear before the truck leaves. This means cashiers checks as well. I am more than happy to help load. Thanks for looking, and good luck.
