This is car number 2204 off the Baltimore assembly line for this model year. In 1964 there were 13 different models in the Chevelle / El Camino families which utilized a consecutive sequence numbering system and this is car number 2204. Who knows how many Convertibles were produced before this car and I have never seen a lower VIN number for a 64 Chevelle Convertible anywhere. Both are in great shape with no issues. Power steering. Paint is less than 5 years old. Here is a short list of all the new parts on this car: Front Suspension, Master Cylinder, Heater Core and blower motor, Mufflers, Seat Covers, Carpet, Door panels, Sun visors, Convertible top, well liner and matching boot, Power top motor, Bumpers, Gas tank and sending unit.
