1992 Jaguar Sovereign with only 95,769 original miles. This car runs and drives well and has had it's maintenance through the years. At 85,855 the car had $2,104 in service. Power steering rack brand new, outer tie rod ends new, front brake rotors are new, front brake pads are new, both power steering lines and fluid are new, O2 sensor is new. Again! $2,104!! At 86,383 the front cross member had to be replaced along with engine mounts and that was $1,894!! $4,000 spent in the last 10,000 miles and that's just 2 receipts and these receipts show everything. I have the glove box books too. It does need some odds and ends. The motor is nice and strong. It is the 4.0 liter 6 cylinder and it has some great power. The transmission shifts great through all of the gears. The tires look very nice on this Jaguar. The brakes work super. They stop this 4,000 lb car with ease. The front needs shocks. The front end clunks from the shocks in the front being bad. The bushings in the shocks are worn and that is why they need to be replaced. The air conditioning is not cold and it's the old style system. I believe it will need to be converted to the newer R134. The belt is on the compressor and it seems to be okay but it's really hard to tell for sure how it works untill it's full and holding well. I wish I had a better answer for you about the A/C but this is it. The heat works. The wipers, lights besides the fog lights, horn, radio (with code), all windows, all locks, cruise control, power seats are all working. Even the power sunroof works nice. The car has a super smooth ride that can be explained as a heavy, solid and strong ride. It is comparable to the Rolls Royce and Bentley ride. I have had all of these so I am telling facts to you. The alloy wheels are in decent condition. The exhaust is all there and dual exhaust. Under the doors are solid. There are rust spots on the lower fender areas, trunk lip and under trunk lip, and some little ones on the fender edges inside that are hard to notice. There is a scratch on the rear drivers side door that goes on the drivers side front door too. Looks to be a key job at a point. Under the passenger side front door moulding there is a gentle dent that cracked the paint so you will see the line in the pictures but it's hard to see any dent. I filmed all of the areas of the car that you would need to see. The battery is a bit weak and I had to battery pack the car to start it this morning for the pictures. It was 33 and snowing though! The leather interior is in nice shape for it's age. It was a smokers car at one point in it's existence. It is not very noticable since I am sure it's been years but the ashtray has the signs as do the lighters. I would say that this car is a very nice project driver because it drives so nice and the items it could use are really cosmetic. I have put almost 400 miles on this car. It was very enjoyable. We know this car will sell for cheap because of the market. You can make the price so NO RESERVE!!!! Absolute sale and high bidder takes her home!! No buy it now or ending the auction so plan to be there at the end if you want a cheap British top end car! I have no extra fees in my auctions.
