Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a 1937 Chevrolet 2 Door Business Coupe. This car has been stored inside for the last 50 years, shows 42,167 miles on the title, and 47,060 on the odometer. Can't prove it, but it appears that's all it was driven. I bought this car recently because of the incredible frame and body condition. I sandblasted the complete frame, and most of the body. What I discovered was remarkable. The frame almost looks like new. There is no rust, no bends, no welds, no modifications of any kind. The body is straight as an arrow, not a dent anywhere, and 99% rust free. There is no bondo anywhere, and it appears this car has been un-touched. The only body rust is behind the rear bumper. The rest of the body is solid as a rock. The floors have absolutelly no rust on them. I sprayed a light coat of grey primer on the floor before I took the pictures, so you can see how nice it is. I also took pictures of the floor from the bottom. As you can see, there is no rust through anywhere. If you are looking for a 37 Chevy business coupe to restore, this one will save you a lot of work. Just finish the sand blasting and get down to business. This car is completely original, and everything is there except the engine. ( I have a good running 1972 350 Chevy engine and auto transmission for sale) The manual transmission (it's not locked up), clutch and brake pedals, steering system, brakes, EVERYTHING, is there and intact. I'm not 100% sure, but I think the tires may even be original. They are terribly dry rotted, but actually hold air. The car had decent black paint when i got it, but I wanted to see what the body looked like, so I blasted it all off. You will not find another unrestored 75 year old car with a frame and body this nice. It deserves to be restored, but I have too many projects going, and it is taking up too much space. The glass is all there, but the drivers door glass is broken. All the cranks and door handles work. The doors still shut like new. As you can see in the pictures, the door hinges have no rust. There isn't even any rust under the doors, as is always typical on old cars here in Ohio. Remember, I sprayed primer under the doors, the door jams, etc. just so you can see there is no rust through. The dash is nice, and everything is in there. It even has a heater! The merchant display board is still in place in the trunk. The frame of the original seat is still good, but the cover is shot. This would make an excellent hot rod, or restore back to original. Even the brake lines still look good. This is an excellent candidate for restoration. Don't let this one pass you by. It has a clear Ohio title. I can have it delivered anywhere in the United States, so don't let that stop you from bidding. As for payment, I will expect $1,000 down within 7 days, and the balance within 30 days, or whenever it leaves here. It must be paid in full before I will release it with the title. I accept pay pal, bank cashiers checks, or cash. Email me with any questions, or call 567-295-9060. I have a very fair reserve on this car, and am always open for offers or trades for muscle cars. I also will be listing my 1969 Dodge Coronet 440 soon. It is driveable, but needs restored. Thank you for looking, and good luck if you're bidding. This will be an easy restoration of one of the most desireable 30s cars. I would love to see pictures after you're done. Thank you, and may God bless. RichOn May-17-10 at 17:20:51 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: I have recieved several emails telling me this is a 1938. I was just going by the title, which says 1937. The title numbers match the numbers on the car, so I can only assume the car was sold in 1937, and titled as such. I am sorry for the mistake. ALSO: I bought the car with the front end and fenders off, just as you see in the pictures. I assumed all the parts were delivered with the car, but have since discovered I do not have the front fenders or running boards. Everything else in the ad is accurate. Sorry for any inconvenience. And last but not least. In 24 hours I have had 50 to 75 phone calls wanting to know what the price is. The price is $1,000 more than the best offer so far. This car will not last much longer on Ebay. If my asking price is offered today or tomorrow, I'll be taking it off. So, if you're really interested, please call with your offer so I can get back to work. Thank you, Rich 567-295-9060On May-20-10 at 17:32:33 PDT, seller added the following information: I have tried adding more pictures, but it will not let me show more than 24. I also have pictures of the front bumper, the seat, Rust free radiator support (even on the bottom), twin horns, transmission cover (fits over the shifter), and the rust free headlights. I have everything for this car except the front fenders and running boards. And it's possible I may still be able to find them, as the parts were scattered in a pole barn with many other cars and parts when I bought it. I'll keep searching.
