THERE IS NO TYPO ERROR CONCERNING THE MILEAGE ON THIS TRUCK. IT HAS ONLY 166 MILES ON IT. IT IS VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW. I KNOW THAT IT IS HARD TO BELIEVE GIVEN THE YEAR OF THE TRUCK BUT IT IS TRUE, GUARANTEED! THE FOLLOWING IS THE HISTORY BEHIND THIS TRUCK: I PURCHASED THE TRUCK AT A LIEN SALE. I HAVE THE MITSUBISHI FUSO TRUCK PORT INSPECTION WORKSHEET THAT WAS FILLED OUT WHEN THE TRUCK ARRIVED AT THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES. IT IS DATED 5-11-2007 THE ODOMETER READING WAS 16.4 MILES. WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK IT HAD REAR MUD FLAPS ADVERTISING THE WESTERN TRUCK EXCHANGE IN LOS ANGELES SO I BELIEVE THAT TO BE THE DEALER THAT INITIALLY SOLD THE TRUCK. FROM THE INFORMATION I HAVE, IT APPEARS THAT THE THE BUYER WAS ATTEMPTING TO START A DELIVERY TRANSPORT BUSINESS THAT NEVER GOT OFF THE GROUND. I HAVE A PRINTOUT FROM THE CALIFORNIA DMV SHOWING THAT WHEN THE TRUCK WAS FIRST REGISTERED, THE TRUCK ODOMETER SHOWED 30 ACTUAL MILES. THIS WAS ON 07/19/2007. I CHECKED MAPQUEST AND FOUND THE DISTANCE FROM THE PORT OF LOS ANGELES TO WESTERN TRUCK EXCHANGE TO BE APPROXIMATELY 14 MILES. IF YOU ADD THAT MILEAGE TO THE 16.4 MILES RECORDED AT THE PORT IT EQUALS 30.4 MILES. THE DMV RECORDING OF 30 MILES IS CORRECT. WHEN I BOUGHT THE TRUCK FROM THE LIEN SALE, IT HAD 140 MILES ON THE ODOMETER. THAT WAS ON 04/06/2010. AS I PREVIOUSLY STATED IT IS VIRTUALLY BRAND NEW. IT STILL HAS THAT NEW CAR SMELL. ALL THE FACTORY STICKERS AND LABELS ARE PRISTINE. THE TIRES WITH THE TREAD KNUBBIES STILL ON THEM ARE BRAND NEW. FACTORY INSPECTION CHALK MARKS AND PAINT DOTS ARE PRISTINE. THE COMPANY THAT HELD THE LIEN SALE IS A LICENSED CITY OF LOS ANGELES OFFICIAL POLICE GARAGE. THE TRUCK WAS IMPOUNDED ON 05/02/2008 (APPROXIMATELY 10 MONTHS AFTER THE INITIAL PURCHASE) FROM A PRIVATE BUSINESS PARKING LOT. THE OWNER OF THE LOT HAD IT IMPOUNDED FOR UNAUTHORIZED PARKING. VANDALS HAD PARTIALLY GRAFFITEED THE BOX WHILE IT WAS PARKED. THE OWNER OF THE TRUCK WAS NOTIFIED AND REFUSED TO PAY THE IMPOUND FEES ALLEGEDLY BECAUSE HE FELT THAT IT HAD BEEN IMPOUNDED ILLEGALLY. FROM 05/02/2008 UNTIL SOLD AT LIEN SALE ON 04/06/2010, THE TRUCK WAS STORED AT THE IMPOUND COMPANY (PILING UP STORAGE FEES) WHILE THE OWNER FOUGHT FOR ITS RELEASE. AFTER ALMOST TWO YEARS HE LOST THE BATTLE AND BY THIS TIME APPARENTLY COULD OR WOULD NOT PAY THE ACCRUED IMPOUND STORAGE FEES. I ASSUME HE STILL OWED A GREAT AMOUNT OF MONEY TO THE LEGAL OWNER, A FINANCE COMPANY, SO HE APPARENTLY ABANDONED HIS FIGHT AND WALKED AWAY FROM THE TRUCK. CALIFORNIA DMV THEN GAVE THE IMPOUND COMPANY PERMISSION TO SELL THE TRUCK IN ORDER TO COLLECT THEIR FEES. BOTH THE REGISTERED OWNER AND THE LEGAL OWNER WERE NOTIFIED (ACCORDING TO STRICT CALIFORNIA DMV GUIDELINES) OF THE IMPENDING SALE. NEITHER PARTY TOOK ANY ACTION (GO FIGURE) SO THE TRUCK WAS SOLD. AS FAR AS THE TRUCK NOT BEING PICKED UP....YOUR GUESS IS AS GOOD AS MINE. ALL I CAN SAY IS THAT THE FINANCE COMPANY SCREWED UP ROYALLY. POSSIBLY THE COSTS INVOLVED TO RECLAIM THE TRUCK WERE TOO HIGH AND THEY DECIDED TO WRITE OFF THE LOSS ON THEIR TAXES. ??????? I'M BOTH THE REGISTERED AND LEGAL OWNER . THERE IS NO FINANCE COMPANY INVOLVED. I HAVE A CLEAR CALIFORNIA TITLE IN MY NAME ONLY. I WAS ABLE TO REMOVE THE GRAFFITI LEAVING ONLY A FEW SMALL BLEMISHES IN THE PAINT. THE DAY I PICKED THE TRUCK UP FROM THE LIEN SALE, I DROVE IT TO A MITSUBISHI TRUCK DEALER WHICH IS LOCATED DIRECTLY BEHIND THE CONCERNED IMPOUND COMPANY. THEY CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS AND FILTERS AND ALTHOUGH EVERYTHING LOOKED BRAND NEW, THEY RECOMMENDED SERVICING THE TRUCK ANYWAY. I FIGURED DOING SO WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA SO THAT I COULD MAKE SURE THE TWO YEAR WARRANTY REMAINING ON THE TRUCK WOULD STAY INTACT. I HAD THEM SERVICE THE TRUCK WITH ALL NEW FLUIDS AND FILTERS. I HAVE A RECEIPT FOR THE WORK. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT THIS TRUCK PROBABLY SOLD NEW FOR IN EXCESS OF $ 65,000. WHEN YOU ADD TAX AND RELATED SALES FEES, MY RESERVE IS LESS THAN HALF THAT AMOUNT. REMEMBER. THIS TRUCK IS VIRTUALLY NEW. IF YOU ARE STARTING A NEW COMPANY OR WANT TO UPGRADE YOUR EXISTING FLEET, YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS DEAL. THERE ARE ADS ON THE INTERNET FOR SIMILAR YEAR MITSUBISHI TRUCKS WITH SHORTER BOXES THAT HAVE HIGH MILEAGE WITH WEAR AND TEAR LISTED FROM $40,000 AND UP.
