Vehicle Detail
You are looking at a 1995 Pontiac Grand Am 3.1 that has been a very peppy car for my 20 year old daughter. We are only selling this car because we believe the torque converter is locking up or the transmission needs rebuilt. The only other issue I can see are the front turn signal assemblies are missing, but the bulbs are still there. There is also minor front damage from previous owner taking out a deer. This car must be towed or moved from premises on a trailer. Car is located 20 miles south east of Des Moines near Pleasantville, Iowa. We will accept cash only--no checks. I reserve the right to stop auction early as car is advertised for sale locally. Please ask any questions before bidding. Thanks for looking and good luck with your bid. I just started the car, since it had not been started in months. It fired right up. I decided to try and move it. It sounds and feels like a load is put on the motor or transmission when you take it out of park and try to put it in any gear including neutral. I also noticed the brake pedal goes down quite a bit. I checked the brake fluid level and it is not low. I managed to rev the engine a little, put it in drive and it drove fine, but not in reverse. It may if you mess with it long enough.Once it is in park, it locks up again. I still think it is a torque converter issue. This car will still need towed or trailored from my property for safety. The motor in this car is well worth the starting price. I have had several emails to stop the auction early, and if the price is right temptation could take over. Thanks again for looking.
