THE CAR IS WET**** Up for sale is my 1997 Ford Mustang GT with Saleen body kit and rims. I recently moved up North and this is a difficult car to have in the snow (unless you have a garage). I love this car. I drive it daily. There are some good and bad about the car. I will start with the bad: it needs a paint job on the front spoiler (the car is very low, so it cracked when I hit a cement stop in a parking space). The rear spoiler is starting to chip a little too. There is a small dent in the driver's side rear quarter (the paint is still intact there...so can be removed by taking to a dent removal place). It has a salvage title--I have no idea what area sustained damage. When I bought it, the seller said it had been repaired professionally. It needs a bypass valve on the air intake (if you drive it in the rain, it sucks moisture into your engine and it causes it to smoke). That is the only mechanical issue. The rest are cosmetic. There are a few random scratches. The driver side leather is slightly torn. The check engine light is on (per the inspection guys in my state, it has something to do with the exhaust being modified). The front tires should probably be replaced soon. The exhaust on one side rattles sometimes because it is loose. The right driver's headlight has moisture in it (it still works, but can just see moisture droplets in there). Also, since the rims are 18', the odometer is about 5mph off (ie- when it says you are going 35mph, its more like 40mph) The good: it has a rebuilt engine at 123,000 miles that runs super smooth (I still have the receipts from the previous owner). It still looks AMAZING in spite of what I mentioned (I get looks all the time). This is a daily driving car for me and it has NEVER given me a problem (other than driving it in the heavy rain, as I mentioned). It has 18' Saleen rims and a Saleen body kit. It has 2 new rear tires. It also has a custom cowl induction hood. It has custom exhaust. I am not sure of the brand, but it is loud and awesome. It has a custom air intake. I have no idea of the brand. The modifications were done before I bought it. It has a short shifter (that takes a little getting used to if you have only driven a regular 5-speed manual). Other things about the car: **THE RIMS AND TIRES ALONE ARE WORTH $2,000!!!!** 4.6L V8 engine It has a custom carbon panel interior The interior was painted silver White instrument panel The rear window is tinted with a thin layer of mirror tint to cover the speakers After market CD player The car has been lowered (I'm not sure how much) Power everything (even driver's side seat) IN SUMMARY: This is a great car. It's definitely a collectors item. It has all the modifications done on it already in addition to a newly rebuilt engine. However, it does need some work on the paint in addition to needing an intake bypass valve to keep moisture out of the engine when it rains (this is very inexpensive... most sites sell the valve for $50. I just never had the motivation to take it to a mechanic to put on). The leather is tearing a little on the driver's side. This car is amazing for the price but will need some TLC. I will be sad to see it go.
