1978 trans am Hello what i have for sale is a 1978 trans am y-88 car.This was my dream car and i hate to sell it but i have too many other projects over my head and could use the money.. This car is a project but its 99% complete and a very solid start. Has good floors and trunk.. doors shut easy.. nice gaps.. shaker hood.. t-tops. The car originally came with a 403 oldsmobile motor from the factory and after doing some research it makes it one of a few hundred y-88 cars of this type. The car did run and drive great until a few weeks back it got a rod knock and now it wont turn over. the motor in it now is a 400 pontiac. The guy i bought the car from said the tranny was redone and new but i cant verify anything except that it did work very well. The car came with a/c from the factory, and has power windows which work. It needs minor work on the bottom of the fender.. and behind the rear tires. I have half a quarter which still has a gm sticker in it for the drivers side and a gm rear spoiler for the drivers side to repair the area. The passenger needs a little work behind the tire. Perfect tail panel under the bumper.. this car is a rock and to the best of my knoledge i dont think its ever seen a paint job yet!
