Vehicle Detail
Vehicle Description NO RESERVE!! I am relisting due to wrong formating on previous listing ; Also was unable to correct last listing in regards to year/model. It is titled as a 89 BMW ; as described below it is equipped with a 85/86 drive train ( engine/tranny);tranny was changed recently . You are looking and maybe bidding on a custom build K 100 RS , modified into a single seat showbike/ streetfighter/caferacer; all done in a gorgeous finish as a "rapsodie in blue". The goal was to lighten the "brick" as much as possible, give it better looks/ handling and performance; all this resulted in a light weight ( apx. 400lbs dry) "brickster". The 1989 frame was beedblasted, slightly modified, etch primed and finished in dark blue pearl base with glossy clear 2 k dupont. the same was done to the wheels except flattenening agent was added to the clear. The fairing was painted the same style as the rims. Gas tank, seat, side covers and front fender were coated with glossy clear again with a beautiful center stripe in indigo blue pearl base underneath as well as the pinstripes. Body parts except fender are all made of aluminum alloy and it was my intention to show and preserve the metal in a hand sanded finish in the clearcoat; hence no bondo was used on the bikes finish ( left side of tank has a tiny small indentation 1/2" , see last picture) and hard to even see but left there to give the bike some character. The engine and drive train are of a 85/86, 2 valve RS with all new stainless steel bolts on most covers( see pix) that are in almost new condition. new fluids, filter etc. Bosch fuel pump was relocated external with external fuel filter for ease of service and inspection. Engine starts up and runs real smoth with no smoke. Clutch and gearbox is smooth like always. Standard lightened front brakes and lightened rear slotted disc. Adjustable rear gas shock, progressive spring, in perfect condition. Exhaust is almost new with 4 into 1 performance header and carbon fiber muffler that has a real throaty sound to it. The seat is custom fabricated all aluminum with integrated tail light/turnsignal lenses (flush) and a lot of storage space inside the seat. Seat pad is also custom fab. with a nice metallic blue carbon fiber style vinyl texture. New brand name clip ons were installed with new switches left side and new master on right also new factory BMW grips. Instruments are standard with custom build rubber mounted bracket. Fairing is a 2003 style RSv Mille 1000 , with brand new( 0 gravity) smoked windscreen, new carbon fiber style mirrors and integrated blinkers. Tires are 0 miles !! , front and rear (pirelli sport demon 140/70-17 and 110/80-18) brake lines are new with new fluid etc. The pictures you see don t give this bike justice as to the nice and professional custom build motorcycle when you would see in person. It took 100's of intense hours of prof. labor to build this beauty, however the starting bid is set very low at 1/4 of the cost it would take to recreate this machine. Reason for sale is the need to catch up on my mortgage..... I reserve the right to end this auction at any time since it is locally for sale also. I ill try to make it to the St. Augustine(FL) classic bike show on 05/15 saturday , to show and try to sell. I will not ship, however, I will assist in loading the bike; crating it for shippment will be subject to prior arrangements. Please contact Thor @407 781 6592 for any further questions. PS. Also have a new 4 valve motor/w/out cams ( I'll throw it in for the buy it now price ..) that could be installed;the 2 valve is a better candidate for turbo conversion and that's it.....,. please klick the link below to see the bike running , just don t wear sandals... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hfKlsQyrmgo&feature=player_embedded Thank you for looking and good luck bidding!
