Vehicle Detail

This is a mechanically solid, if not very pretty, Toyota Camry. I purchased it in 2008 as transportation to and from job sites for a new job I had started after being laid off for three months. The new job required a lot of travel, so I had to find something reliable. It served me well until the summer of 2009 when the A/C stopped working. Instead of getting the AC fixed, I decided to put the money down on a new car. Mechanically it's in great shape, and has taken me all over Texas. I never had a problem running to Dallas, Houston, or as far as Tyler. I bought the car with a little over 90k miles on it, and in a year put on another 40k with no problems. I don't use it much anymore, well at all in fact. I do run it down the highway a mile or around the block a few times every two weeks, but at this point I really don't need to pay the upkeep for a vehicle I never use. It has cruise control, an AM/FM/Cassette radio, power locks, power windows, A/C (nonfunctional), and tinted windows. The drive train was in good shape when I bought it, but I replaced the tires, brakes, and shocks as they needed it. The tires have about a third of their tread left by the looks of it. A few months ago I installed a new battery as the old one was on it's last legs, and had the oil changed a week ago. It even has a full tank of gas! As you can see by the pictures, while it runs and drives great, it's not the best looking car on the road. The damage on the drivers side occurred a week after I purchased it when a large truck swerved into my lane on the highway during a downpour, forcing me off the road. If you live around here, you've seen the steel cable retaining walls they have been putting up on the highways. I slid the car along side one of these. The damage was all cosmetic, being above the trim line on the car. I replaced the front fender because it was catching on the door, and you can see where it gouged a line near the fuel tank door and messed up the bumper cover a bit towards the back. Apart from that, the paint is pretty faded, and someone tried to punch out the trunk lock prior to my buying the car. There's a lever inside the car to open the trunk, so it never really bothered me any. The car is a four cylinder, and isn't quick from a dead stop, but it will do 75mph down the highway all day long. On the highway it gets 30mpg at that speed. Everything works besides the A/C at this point. The inspection and registration have both ran out recently, and instead of paying for them and keeping it insured, I'm going to pass it on instead. So if you need cheap, reliable transportation, look no further! If you have any questions, feel free to ask. I should be able to answer them within a day.
