I have a 1975 Postal Jeep for sale. When my son bought the jeep this February 2010, he replaced 2 tires and bought a new battery so he could drive it to our house. He also knew from the previous owner there would be additional fees to pay when he titled the jeep since it had not been driven or tagged in several years. After he got home and parked the jeep he couldn't get it started again! Recently I hired a mechanic off of Craigslist to work on another vehicle. I asked him to look at the jeep ~ he touched some wires around the cylinoid (spelling?) ~ the jeep started! So, I had the mechanic replace the sparkplugs and he did an oil change. I had my son drive the jeep to our storage unit with me following in another car. The jeep did the same thing; it wouldn't start. Neither my son or I are mechanics ~ we looked to see if a wire was possibly loose ~ nothing we tried would get the thing started. I called the mechanic to see if he could walk us through ~ he didn't answer. It cost me 65.00 to get the jeep put on a tow truck and brought home! All that to say ~ the jeep is not starting. It does have a new battery, spark plugs and oil. All the lights work except the brake lights. The inside is rough ~ the steering wheel is on the "passenger" side. The picture with the roughness is on the ceiling. Whoever buys this jeep will need to pay whatever fees might be extra from the years it was off the road. The last year it was tagged was in 2004 by the previous owner . I did not get the jeep insured or titled in my name; I do have the title though.
