Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is very original 1967 Barracuda Convertible. This is a 273 manual 3-speed car. I bought this car off it's original owner. His Mom ordered this car for him in Merion Chrysler Inc, Pennsylvania when he was in Vietnam, you can see in last picture the Chrysler "Certicard" and "This Car Made Especially For Capt. ***" . After came back from the Vietnam war, he drove the car until 1987 then move to VA. The car has been garage about 10 years, then back to the road in 1995.The car has its original TT1 Medium Copper Metallic Paint. Not being the car-guy, the original basically left everything as it came from the factory, and always took it to Professional for service. He keep all paper works for what has been done to the car and gave it to me. The way he took care of the car, I can see that how much he love it car, when I came to pickup the car he even tear down(he told me if his wife dont urge him to sell it, he will never do so).Back to the car, everything is work as it suppose to be when it left the factory. Since I own it, never change anything except the "rear leaf spring shackle" and the best looking Antenna. I never let any mechanic touch the car(since I dont trust none of them). The oil changed every 3-month even I drive the car in weekend and sunny day only.According to Nada Blue Book, nadaguides.com, the 67 Barracuda Convertible is the most expensive convertible in 2nd Generation of Barracuda 1967-69. Low retail price : $9,850 , High retail : 28,00 while 68 : 8,450 : 21,900 and the 69 : 9,500 and 26,000. I dont know the real reason but I believe 67 convertible is high value because this is the FIRST YEAR EVER Barracuda has its own convertible car. And in my POV about muscle car, the Barracuda 67-69 is the best looking convertible ever in 60's - 70's. This car is a best combo for those who want own a beautiful muscle car. It has a column-shift which will give a lot of room in interior when cruising. The smallest V8 273 give you a sound of muscle car and best gas mileage. Engine has been done 11,000 miles ago, and it's been done PERFECT. I used to beat a Honda ricer at stoplight in Richmond Hwy at 1st & 2nd gear, take my foot off the pedal then due to traffic time, and Im pretty sure I will win under 1/8 miles. The car Inspected by Virginia DMV. You can just drive it anywhere across the country. The car has Power Steering which you can drive by two finger at 70 MPH. The car has 10 inches drum brake around(which 10inches drum, you dont need upgrade to disk brake unless you want to) The car has a thick undercoating, the frame, frame rail is VERY SOLID. The car has a rare T4 option: Vacuum Meter. Beside is Bucket seat, Headrest. The car has 7 1/4 Sure Grip Differential which you can feel very useful when driving in snow, corner.. The Convertible Top work PERFECT. Issues with the car, Even being took a good care of his original, the car has some rust in common place due to weather condition. Lower quarter panel in both side, lower fenders and rocker has little rust, but its not a big deal. I was thinking of keep the car like that in enjoy driving it that way. But if you want to restore it, the good body man can easily take care of it. The trunk floor is PERFECT, the spare tire well need replace. The Driver seat Cover need replace. Other than that, I dont see anything else you should concern about. Only 4,228 convertible made in 1967, not much of them survivor, assume its still has 1,000 67 Barracuda convertible exists, that mean only ONE of every 305,000 people in the US own a 67 convertible (since the US population is 305,000,000) Last but not least, you can always see a Clone Barracuda Formula S here and there, but you will NEVER find a clone Convertible, its unique! Happy Bidding and Good Luck! ***The car is located in Springfield, VA.For serious buyers, who want to look at the car just email me, we will set up an appointment.
