1987 Porsche 944/951 Turbo Alpine White/ Burgundy Leather 82,000 miles VIN: WPOAA2952HN152436 Up for your consideration my 944/951 Turbo. First you should know that I’m a Porsche heretic in that I think these cars are better sporting conveyances than the similar vintage 911. In fact the only reason I’m selling this car is because now that I’m “mostly retired” my wife says it’d be cool to have a true convertible. So I’m in the market for a cabriolet. I consider this car a two owner vehicle as the guy I bought it from only owned it for a very brief time, (he is young and his wife got pregnant – bad for him, good for me). The car has been a PCA car all its life, looks new inside and out, everything works as it should. It pulls strong, (has been “chipped”), shifts like it should, corners better than new, and gets surprisingly good gas mileage. Bottom line - I can’t think of a vehicle that offers more bang for the buck. As they say, “you can drive this baby anywhere. Known Issues: There is a very tiny dent just below the left head light. It is so inconspicuous that I couldn’t get it to show up in the pictures; in fact I owned the car for a year before I noticed it. The power steering assembly leaks an insignificant amount. I add a few teaspoons of ATF every few months. Extras: Bra, cover, a bunch of oil filters, new, never installed Weltmeister SP200 springs, Turbo shop manual plus other manuals, and for an extra 100 bucks a brand new, never used, Thule roof mount bike or cargo carrier, (Thule no longer makes these for this car). I can arrange shipping at buyer’s expense and I will consider delivering the car within 250 miles for a non – refundable deposit. Service History: items not underlined are services done by previous owners that I have receipts for. Underlined items are services I had performed. I changed the oil myself every 2500 or less miles, using Mobile 1. 53,000 cam cover gasket 53,000 auxiliary H2O pump 53,000 front alignment 54,000 complete clutch assembly, crank seal 57,000 hood shocks 60,500 wheel bearings & O2 Sensor 66,000 T-Belt, alt. belt, balance shaft belt, P/S, belt & rollers etc. 68,000 Koni rear shocks, front sway bar support kit, CV boots Magna-Flow muffler and tip, strut brace 73,000 heater valve replaced, coolant changed, and hose from cylinder head to H2O pipe replaced, 60,000 mile major service including new timing belt, all fluids etc. (belt checked at 80,000). 73, 362 Koni front shocks, MO30 (968) front and rear sway bars installed, new A/C compressor and dryer, dash lights replaced with brighter units. 76, 428 front pads + “super blue fluid”, new glove box stops, new headlamps with 100/80W bulbs, new interment cluster backing and new bulbs 77,071 cooling system flush and change + Water Wetter, Stock Steering wheel replaced with MOMO. This is cool because we figured out how to hook up the horn and it works! Note! Original wheel with intact air bag goes with the car. 79,555 trip odometer repaired, new tires incl. front end alignment. Tires are Dunlop Direzza super high performance summer tires and they are fantastic both in the dry and the wet. 80,792 fuel filter, leaking washer reservoir replaced, new trip odometer reset switch installed.
