Vehicle Detail
1998 is the last year of production of these air-cooled marvel Porsche ever produced. Own a piece of Porsche history. This is my 9th 911 and so far the most trouble-free and smoothest running of all Porsche's I have ever owned. This cab was designed to be a daily driver as well as a cruiser for a weekend of fun in the sun. The 993's are light on the wallet as far as maintenance is concerned compared to the previous model years.. .meaning more fun on the road than in the shop. The engine is bone dry of any oil leaks or any signs of deterioration. This engine is absolutely bullet-proof and no mechanical issues known to date. I have a gut feeling this cab will double its value in the next 10 to 15 years from now or sooner because of its superb performance. Read the consumer reports about it so we are in the same page. There's actually none like it or will there ever be again. Always garaged Calif.car . Don't let the salvage title pull you down because the damage on the car was very minimal and the frame and suspension components was virtually untouched. The cab apparently spun on the rain soaked freeway and tapped the center concrete K-rails and no other vehicle was involved in the accident. The front lower tub panel, left fender, front bumper covers, hood, left headlights as well as driver side airbags was replaced. No damage to the back nor sides of the cab whatsoever. Theres only a tiny curb rash on the back of the right rear wheel. Honestly i don't even know the reason why the insurance company totalled' the car in the first place because it was without a doubt repairable . Either the insurance adjuster made a mistake and playing it safe or the insured has some mighty pull internally...i don't know..i guess we'll never find out what had actually happened . I know people in the industry and was told that situations like these happens all the time. Perhaps getting out of the lease early is another provability?? The cab was restored to specs by a well known Porsche only restoration facility in the valley and i was there present supervising every step of the way in it's rebuild process and i know it was done right. Jack the shops owner has more than 45 something years experience repairing or restoring vintage 356's, 911's etc. as well as the new 997's. I am meticulously nit-picky when it comes to my toys and I want it done right, period. The cab looks superb as new as when it came out of the factory showroom. Engine runs tight and smooth and the clutch in excellent mechanical shape. It is equipped w/ a 3.6 M64/21(22) 285hp DIN motor w/ the patented VarioRam system. Rare Arctic Silver Exterior w/ supple leather interior ,w/ heated and powered seats. The interior smells and looks like brand new and shows no signs of deterioration whatsoever. Everything on the motor is stock and unmolested and all services meticulously performed. I believe I have described the car honestly and to the best of my abilities and if you have questions please feel free to ask. Remember a stupid question deserves a stupid answer and if you don't know what a salvage title is..then look for a car some other place. If you are buying the car using Kelly blue book then ask Mr.Kelly to find you one @ the price hes' suggesting and i will almost assure you,you will get trash that the Porsche shops would love you to buy to stimulate the economy or theirs. If you are looking to steal the car..sorry i am not hurting for money and I believe the car will be sold for what its worth. If you have a zero feedback, your bid will be zapped unless you e-mail me for approval. Time is very valuable to me so don't waste mine or yours. Please bid only if you have the funds available and a $ 2000.00 non-refundable deposit thru paypal required 24 hours after auctions end. Full payment is expected within 7 days of auctions end either wired to my bank account or cash, or a verifiable cashiers check in person. I have shipped vehicles abroad in the past and i can assist in overseas shipping if you so wish. I reserve the right to re-list the vehicle in case of buyer non-compliance and the matter reported to e-bay. Please bid with confidence as you will be getting a collectible car that is in absolute great shape and don't let the salvage title hinder you on your purchase but instead consider the amount of money saved compared to a clean titled one w/c you will pay top dollar for. I reserve the right to end the auction early since the car is also advertised locally. Thank you for looking and best of luck to you!!! Happy Bidding!!
