Vehicle Detail
Here is 1966 Corvette convertible project car. This car has many clues that it once was a big block car. It has had a restoration started but is missing many of its parts needed to complete it. It basically consists of a restored frame, a body and a few interior parts. The body has had most of its paint stripped on the nose hood and doors. the paint thet remains is the original sufire yellow paint. The trim tag confirms that this car left the factory yellow with black interior. There is a repair across the floors and some body work on the front of the nose, the doors are perfect and the the rear clip is untouched and in very nice conditon. The car has the correct original big block hood but the hood frame is cracked and broken and needs to be fixed. The interior features a new carpet set complete with the insulation, new dash pads, and a nice looking dash and gauge cluster the pedals are there and so is the heater box. There is no top, center console, headlights or door panels the wiring harness is out and needs to be replaced. The frame appears to have been sandblasted and repainted in chassis black there is no rust and it appears as new. The rear end is also very clean and may have been rebuilt it has the big block halfshaft yokes and is date coded I 16 5 for for november 16 1965 the rear end also has an AZ code for 66 427 3.55 ratio posi, the assembly date is 11 3 65. The car also has a big block radiator support that apears new or restored and the driver side inner fender has the mount for the hood prop which is a big block only feature. The suspension apears to have been restored as well, the car has new springs, a new gas tank straps and sending unit, also new stainless brake lines and fuel line and new body mounts holding the body to the frame. The calipers are off the car and need to be rebuilt but the car has new brake backing plates. The steering box and tie rod ends are tight and the front and rear sway bars are included, the rear sway bar being a big block only attribute. The car comes with four JK coded wheels which are correct for a 66 it also has big block side pipes and side pipe covers. The doors latch and fit good and are complete with glass. There is a new gasket for the windshield and all the stainless that surounds it is included. Just about anything that is not seen in the pictures is missing and NOT included with the car so look carefully at the pictures and feel free to ask any questions. A $500 deposit is due 3 days after end of auction balance to be paid in 10 days.
