Up for auction is a 1999 VW Jetta TDI. I bought this car to use it for my business because I am on the road a lot. I don't have the time to fix what needs to be done and have already purchased something else so this has to go. Outside the car is in good shape for its mileage and year it is not perfect!(has some dents and scratches) it has 300k+ miles so it is what you'd expect. The front bumper cover needs to be painted blue it is just gray now. It is missing one hub cap. The interior is also in good condition(see pics) Mechanically the car will need some work. It smokes a lot when it is started and does not have power the smoke is black not white and does not smell like coolant. The engine light is on as well as the glow plug light. The car can still be driven you just cannot go fast! The clutch grabs and the transmission shifts just as it should. I purchased it from an individual and they told me that they had recently(within the last year) changed the timing belt and that the mechanic said that one of the injectors was not firing properly. I cannot guarantee what they said is true, but I was just going to replace the injector and go from there. When I drove the car back it did not overheat at all. The NJ inspection sticker is still good.
