99 Ford Van 8 cyl Triton 5.4 Engine. One owner since new.Used for light restaurant catering only . Very few original miles,85639. A oil filter reservoir which cools the engine broke while city driving ,the van lost all oil and ran for about 10 yards before it shut off. I had a new oil filter base installed which stopped the leak. When engine was refilled with oil, the oil pressure came back normal but it did not fill up the Hydraulic Lifters, this causes the engine to be out of timing and has a upper knocking noise. My mechanic tells me I need all the Hydraulic Lifters replaced , it does not smoke when engine is running and does not have any lower engine knocking noise. I cannot afford the repair. If you know how to do this repair you will have a low milage Cargo or work van. This truck has always been very reliable. It needs 2 new door locks replaced ,one on the side door ,one in the back double door. It has a couple of minor dents and scratches but has never been hit in a accident .Always maintened well.
