Very rare example, 1979 Lotus Eclat, low original miles with the Rover/Buick V8 conversion (performance intake and carb) and the matching automatic transmission. The car has tons of power can cruise all day and has enough torque to pull tree stumps! Paint is in good to excellent condition with the only issue being a poorly sanded modification for the hood scoop attachment. All glass is good and all power options work (yes, even the windows J) The interior is leather and the rear seats are very salvageable with the application of leatherique or similar products. Like wise the front door panels are also leather and can be brought back to life. Both front seats are cracked due to drying and will need to be recovered (I was told by an upholstery shop that they could be saved by extensive cleaning, rejuvenation and stitching but I would recommend replacing the leather with new) Tires are good and the car is driven regularly. To answer a few questions, The car is actually a 1980 model (manufactured in november 1979) The interior should be re-done in my opinion as it has at some time been dyed/painted. Front seats are very comfortable and frames / foam are all good, but leather is cracked. There are very few stress cracks which for a black Lotus is amazing, two small ones on the front right fender and an even smaller one on the very front edge, could not ppick up with photo. Rear bumper is the typical foam which has wrinkled however an 87 rear bumper will be included with the car. Sale also includes a full factory service manual with the engine & transmission sections being replaced with the correct V8 and auto trans pages. Some spares are included, tires are excellent dunlop sports with 90+ % remaining
