Vehicle Detail

Up for sale is my 1999 Isuzu Rodeo LS. I have loved this car ever since I got it(bought it from my mom, who originally bought it new) but due to my current situation I just don't have any more money to put in to repairs(the company I was working for got shut down). I don't really have a lot to tell that the video above doesn't, and I believe the video to be a lot more comprehensive that I could ever be about the car. For those who don't have time for the video, though, I will try to hit some of the major points: ***Before we begin it's important to note that I am selling this car *AS IS*. I am not a professional mechanic, I have not had a professional mechanic look over the current issue. With that said, I am really not qualified to give you an accurate analysis of the issue this car is having...I can just simply pass along the information that I have been given regarding it(see Point 6 for the issue).*** 1. Every panel on the car, as far as I know, has been replaced at one point due to hail damage. This is why the car looks virtually brand new. As far as I know, there is no rust underneath. 2. I have, just recently, had the ENTIRE interior and exterior run through one of those high-end car cleaning services. It was around $100, but well worth it. The inside looks amazing! 3. The tires still have some solid tread left. Back when I was working, I only had to drive it about 3 miles to get to work...and then I only really ever drove it on the weekends past that(I mostly just hang around my apt). Also, I have that little kit that allows you remove the tires. 4. The "Check Engine" light is currently on. I have no idea what it's complaining about, but because of this I could not get the car inspected. The Registration, on the other hand, is up to date. 5. I have the manuals for both the car and the stereo in the car. 6. The major issue with the car is, I've been told by friends(non professional mechanics so take it for what's it worth), that the water pump needs to be replaced. The car (currently)still starts, the belt is still intact but people tell me that the water pump will need to be replaced. Watch the video for more on that. With that said, I had to have it towed home once the issue was discovered and I have not moved it since(people have told me that I shouldn't move it at all until the repairs have been made). 7. I have two "clickers" for the car, both still work fine and will allow you to remotely lock and unlock the car. 8. The mileage on the car is at 107,936. 9. The Air Bags are both still intact, they have never been deployed. 10. The car horn sticks, so I have had it (professionally)rewired to a button on the steering wheel. It works fine, just a little odd. 11. The Air Conditioning and Heat work fine! In fact, I've had both running in it in just the past couple of weeks due to the Texas weather getting exceedingly hot and then cold the very next day. ;) 12. The car comes with a 6 disc(CD) changer/Tape Player combo unit. The Tape Player is great because you can buy one of those tape adapters for your MP3 player and use it with this stereo(if you're like me and don't want to pull the unit out to get to the line input...which I'm not even sure if it has to begin with). I used a tape adapter and between my MP3 player and the 6 disc changer, I *never* had to put up with the radio stations' constant commercials. 13. Back when I could drive it, the brakes screeched a little bit. I don't really understand why though, as it seems like I just had the brake pads replaced. It's worse when it's wet outside for some reason. All in all, the car is in good shape...it's just that with my current situation I don't have any more money to put in to it. It has only had two owners(my mom and myself) and we have done our best to take care of it. Over the years I have put in a lot of money in to the car for repairs, upkeep, etc. I can provide you with detailed receipts for virtually everything that has ever been done, my mom kept it all, gave it to me and then I kept it all. In terms of being driven, I lived incredibly close to where I worked so I, literally, only put about 6 to 10 miles on the car during the week. The weekends was about the only time I really drove it...and even then I never left the state(I barely ever left the Dallas area). If you're good with cars, I'm sure you can probably repair the issues with this one for about a fourth of what a car shop is going to charge me to have it done. Again, I *loved* this car...it breaks my heart to let it go, but I just don't have the money for it anymore. If you have *any* questions please feel free to ask! I will answer any and all questions to the best of my ability(but please remember, as I mention in the video, I don't know a whole lot about cars at all). If you are in the area, you are more than welcome to stop by and take a look at it throughout the week(I am usually out on the weekends). The winner MUST have a way of moving the Rodeo on their own...I cannot offer any assistance in this.
