Vehicle Detail

FOR SALE 1986 GMC 3/4 ton pickup. 454 with 4.11 gears and automatic transmission. Power steering, breaks, air, tilt, cruise, windows, locks, dual tanks, sliding rear glass, electric brake controller, cloth seats, carpet, AM-FM cassette, chrome bumpers, toolbox, bed mat. This truck is a "camper special" and included from the factory a larger radiator, transmission fluid and oil coolers and 10,000 lb. hitch. The previous owner was an older gentleman who had an overhead camper mounted on it. The truck is in very good condition for the year it is and being a 3/4 ton that has not been worked on a farm. The BF Goodrich Long Trail T/A tires are at least 75%. The paint is good and shows no rust. I have had this truck for about 10 years and for the last 6 or 7 it has only been driven to pull a boat to the lake in the spring and bring it home in the fall. I had the oil changed and got a saftey inspection in March of 2008 and it has been driven less than 500 miles since that date. It has been kept inside and not even been driven in the rain or snow since the '90's. Seriously, I have been holding on to this truck for years thinking I would eventually drive it more, and as long as I have had it I have never seen one like it as clean with all of the options. NOW, let me say this. It is 25 years old and is about completely original. I would not hesitate to get in it tomorrow and take off across the country, but every time I have made a trip to the lake with a 6500 pound boat behind it I have wondered what would go wrong on the way to the lake or on the way home and to be perfectly honest, it just goes. I have not put a belt on this thing. I have not put wiper blades on it. It has had some seals in the A/C replaced and a charge, and a few batteries over the years. Obviously it is sold "as-is" but this is a neat old truck. It has scratches and dents but the glass is all good and the interior is pretty nice. The dash is still in one piece but the door panels have faded at the top. The clutch on the air conditioner has gone out and I haven't done anything about it. The cruise works. The power windows work. The stereo and cassette deck work. It has good tires. I know that there are a ton of questions I haven't answered so feel free to ask. I do not have a SELL IT NOW price. It is located in Sikeston, Missouri, near the intersection of I-55 and I-57. It will have to be picked up here (63801). I would like to get the sale completed within one week of the end of the auction.
