Up for sale is this 1968 Ford Ranchero, we believe it to be a Ranchero 500. It is equipped with a 302 2-Barrel V-8 and automatic transmission, power steering, power disc brakes and air conditioning (missing the compressor). The Ranchero was originally delivered to the Los Angeles Sales Region (DSO 71). There are no signs of rust on the truck that we can see, please refer to the pictures. The reserve will not be disclosed, please don't ask! This truck was donated to a charity, so we do not know much about it's history. The mileage, 42,289, is what is shown on the odometer and we have no way of knoing if this is correct or if the mileage has turned over. The Ranchero starts and sounds good. We've only driven it short distances around our lot, and would advise buyers to have the truck thoroughly checked out before driving it any distance. It has dual exhaust, which gives it a nice throaty sound. The Ranchero has a recent paint job, which is good driver quality but not a "show quality" paint job. The chrome looks to be original and could stand to be redone for show. The whitewall tires are 75% tread remaining and it has the original hubcaps. The Ranchero is missing a few of the hood letters, and the rear side marker reflectors are missing. The seat upholstery is good with no rips, the door panels are in good condition and the headliner has been redone at some point. The dashpad is cracked like almost all of these cars, but it has a carpeted dash cover on it. The carpet is in fair condition. The radio is missing. With a little TLC, this Ranchero could make a nice driver and/or show car. I've tryed to point out some of the things wrong with the car. There probably are more flaws, it's 42 years old. The truck is currently on a "Non-Op", so no back fees would be due for California buyers. IMPORTANT! We DO NOT finance vehicles. We accept PAYPAL for DEPOSITS ONLY. We DO NOT accept PAYPAL for any payment of the vehicle other than the deposit. You must have your funds readily available at the end of the auction for payment. This is a legal binding contract to purchase a vehicle. Failure to follow through will result in negative feedback and a complaint to Ebay. We DO NOT accept credit cards, however if your Paypal account permits it, you may use them to pay for the deposit payment only, through Paypal. We do not accept them directly. VEHICLE INFORMATION: Be advised, this is a used vehicle, and as such, it may have or develop issues or problems at any moment. It is likely not perfect. I can't guarantee that I described every physical and internal defect or flaw. The vehicle is sold as-is, where-is, with no warranty expressed or implied. Please don't have unreasonable expectations that this is a new car. The auction could be canceled at any time, for any reason deemed by the seller. Your bid is your agreement to purchase the vehicle, not to come and look at it and then decide. You have ten days to do that before the end of the auction. I've done my very best to describe the vehicle as honestly as possible. I don't know everything about the vehicle's condition and don't claim to. I didn't go over every inch of the car inside and out, but tried to accurately describe the major points. The vehicle has been described as accurately as we know of its condition at the time of the auction. The information listed in the auction is subject to unintentional error. Federal Law states that any vehicle over ten years old is exempt from mileage reporting due to age. Mileage may vary upon delivery due to occasional use and test drives. Some vehicles are factory equipped with only a 5 digit odometer. On these vehicles, mileage indicated in the auction is an odometer reading, as the odometer may only be capable of 5 digits. On these cars, mileage indicated by the odometer may or may not be correct. Please email any other questions you might have. VEHICLE SHIPPING AND PICKUP: If you need a vehicle shipped, there are numerous vehicle-shipping companies. The shipping of the vehicle and company chosen is the responsibility of the BUYER. It would be advisable to locate your own shipping company if you’re an over sea’s customer. We will be here to assist with the transport by supervising the loading of the vehicle onto the truck, and other details as needed. Make sure you inquire to DAS information regarding insurance coverage's on the vehicles they transport. The vehicle can be stored free of charge for up to two weeks after the auction has ended, or longer with prior notification and agreement. Vehicles left past the agreed storage date are subject to a $15.00 per day storage fee. We are open for vehicle pick up during the week. We are not open on the weekend, but can make an exception with prior arrangement. Sorry but we spend weekends with our families. VEHICLE REGISTRATION, SALES TAX, SMOG, FEES, ETC: We are a licensed California auto dealer. The state requires that if you're out of state and plan on coming here to pick up the vehicle, you need to know that California law REQUIRES the buyer to pay sales tax, registration, and smog fee's if they pick up the car and drive it away. This is still the LAW even if you put the car on your trailer and it never touches the California roadway. If you're out of state, avoid can avoid all of these required fees by having your car shipped to your state. This in most cases is less expensive anyway by the time you figure gas, lodging, and other expenses. If you're an out of state buyer but picking up the vehicle and driving home, we can reduce the state required registration to a $16.00 one trip permit, but the other fees will still apply. If you are a California resident, we collect sales tax and registration fees. We then provide you with temporary registration in the window so you can legally drive the vehicle until your title and license plates arrive in the mail. All sales require a $55.00 documentation fee. This covers the costs of our mailings of the title, bill of sale, license plates if required, and going to the DMV for you on your behalf. PAYMENT INFORMATION: Please follow the rules of the auction after it is completed, regarding deposit and full payment deadlines. Anyone not following through with the auction will be reported to Ebay and NEGATIVE FEEDBACK will be left. There is a clear title on the vehicle. A non-refundable deposit of $500.00 must be received by me within 24 hours of the close of auction via Paypal, money order, or cashiers check, sent via overnight express mail. After that, full payment needs to have been received within the next five business days of the close of auction. WE DO NOT ACCEPT PAYPAL AS PAYMENT FOR THE BALANCE DUE. In other words, full payment balance after deposit is due 5 business days after the auction close date, and must be paid via cash (in person only for cash), cashiers check, or money order. If you are unable to follow the simple rules of the auction please don't bid. If you have questions, ask them NOW. VEHICLE REGISTRATION AND TRANSFER: There is a clear title on the car. All vehicles that are sold to California buyers that legally require a smog inspection will include it, unless otherwise stated in the auction. Any California buyer will be responsible for all state sales tax and license. Any out of state buyer will need to contact their own DMV office for registration and transfer information.
