Vehicle Detail

You are bidding on a very nice 220D with desirable manual transmission. Absolutely no rust, it was a CA car all its life and I do not drive the car in wet winter conditions. Garage kept. Starts well even in the single digits without an engine heater. The good: No rust New Firestone tires all around (brand new - less than 100 miles) Runs and drives very well Recent starter and battery Everything works! Clean, nice interior Recent diesel purge and engine maintenance No "bad" noises Shifts well, clutch in good condition Full set of original owner's manuals and documents The not as good: Interior not perfect, one crack on dash, small area of damage on driver seat bottom (smaller than a dime) The car has had a good quality repaint some time ago, paint shines and looks very good I would not hesitate to drive this car anywhere, starts and runs well, drives well, stops well. The car has been maintained. I am very familiar with the Mercedes Diesels ( I have three), and there are many out there with rust and lack of maintenance issues that will take time and dollars to correct, this car does not have those issues. It has not been modified other than a mordern radio installed. According to the records I have the engine was replaced at around 80,000 miles with a Medcedes factory engine by a dealer. The engine bay is clean as is the rest of the car. You will not be disappointed! I am happy to answer any and all questions, if you'd like to talk with me about the car, please email me with a number I can reach you at. Even though this car is very nice for it's age, I am selling it in as-is, where-is condition. I am happy to help with shipping, however you will have to arrange it and pay for it. I recommend uship.com highly. I am selling the car because I simply have too many and don't have the room to store it properly, out of my four vintage Mercedes, this is my 2nd favorite, but something has to give. The car will have to be paid for in full before it can be shipped or picked up. I require a $500 deposit via paypal within 48 hours of the close of the auction. Good luck and thatnk you for looking. On Apr-22-10 at 06:19:13 PDT, seller added the following information: Two things I need to mention: The clock is not operating There are two dash cracks, not oneOn Apr-25-10 at 10:09:59 PDT, seller added the following information: I have been asked if there were any rust around the jack points on the underside of the car as this is a very rust-prone area, and after careful inspection there is none as I expected. This car has been a southern CA all it's life, I have not had it on a wet road since I've owned it. Also, the car does not have AC, and there is only one crack on the dash!
