The Motor has been rebuilt and along with most all mechanical parts restored.. Runs excellent. hundreds of man hours to restore this car. The car can be presented at a vintage classic car show and will draw attention even crowds. Dash board gages work and dash lights turn on , Wipers work great. clock on dash working. restored brake system. This car is a Chrysler one year make the styles changed in 1940 and 1942. Has the beautiful one year grille which was rechromed 2 years ago. Bumpers and turn signals chromed. Some leather in back seat armrest. The Saratoga is a rare top of the line model along with the Town Car woody New yorker and other 8 cylinder cars. The clock on this car shows born Dec 1941 stamp. This car sold for over $ 4,500 in Dec of 1941 per title record because of the high demand I'm sure. Chrysler was one of the major players building tanks and ships for the military to help with the war. The Saratoga name came from Mr. Chrysler which loved to visit with his family a city located in the eastern part of United States. He passed away in 1940. Chrysler cars at onetime were banned from crash derby's shows because they were built alot stronger better and reliable and would beat other makes in the contest. The vin number identifies the make model which indicates Saratoga and other indicating parts. The spotlights both work. Has 6 volt system which works great , no dry or slow cranking. Instant start since springs and carburator turned. brake lights working and front lights. Good tires . Fluid Drive works so you don't need to down shift and still drive on 2nd or 3rd gear. This feature is neat because allows limited shifting. The clutch is good very good changed 2 yrs ago and the trans was restored also. I love the car this mopar needs to go to someone special that will make sure it gets taken care of TLC. American classic. The car runs using clean unleaded fuel , runs on unleaded gas. You'll never see another one like this unless you by it haha, Truely I have not seen one dead or alive only in vintage magazine. I mean saratoga not the winsor or royal new yorker but the saratoga! I never seen another one. Have you. I was very lucky two years ago I wrote to Jay leno and he called me in Dec 2008 and we talked about cars.I had a hudson 1950 which he has. I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and was told I had about six month to live I had told him that my car was in a shop under repair and he was aware of the make model of this car. I tell my friends but I think they don't believe me at least the tumor is showing up in the MRI, and losing an ear and eye has not been easy but knowing that a Star like Jay Leno called my home makes my ride very special. I installed new old stock engine crank. This motor will last for a life time! It has an excellent rebuilt Dual Fuel Jet carb 2bb which were used in aircraft.Dual Carburetor jet Stromberg Aerotype AAv-2 made in USA 1941 very rare!!!!!!! Don't let this one get away....
