Vehicle Detail
Hello! For sale I have my 1979 Berlinetta Camaro. I bought this car in June 2008 to start building my empire of owning one camaro of every generation. Since then my plans have changed. Someone ran into my '83 Camaro so I decided to take the insurance money and run because the damage would have been half of the vehicles worth. I then traded that one in to buy a 2002 Z28, which is nice, but with that one and a new job that involves a lot of driving and hence a lot of gas I decided I need the money from this one more than I need to spend the money to fix what it needs. So I am temporarily putting off my goal of owning all generations someday and Im going down to one. This '79 Berlinetta is a pretty nice car, It has a rebuilt 305 engine in it (original to the car), its blue, has t-tops, a B&M shifter in it, and pretty much original everything. The rebuilt engine has about 40,000 miles on it while the body itself has 170,000. I have 4 new Firehawk Indy 500 tires on it ($360.00) and when I bought it the headlights didnt work because something had eaten through the wires, but I had the wires replaced and the headlights work fine. The air conditioning unit is fully intact but that wire had been chewed through too and for some reason wasnt replaced with the other ones, so im not sure if it works, but its all there. Exterior paint is original and thus faded with a couple of spots showing bare metal, but there are only two rusts spots on the car with one the size of a silver dollar on the very bottom of the driver's side door and the other one on the bottom of the passenger door, that isnt as bad and is just poking through the paint. Otherwise there are no dents, dings, or whathaveyou on the body, its in great shape!. There is no rust in the trunk whatsoever, but right underneath of the brake pedal is a half-dollar sized hole in the floor is you lift up the carpet. The rest of the floor is in good condition and is in no danger of rusting out anytime soon. The back window and the windshield leak during heavy rains, so they need resealed. Interior rear seats are stained and the interior quarter paneling is worn on the edges. Driver's side seat is also ripped on the left side. So to make a long story short the car rides like a dream, suspension, running, starting, driving is all great. It could use some curb appeal through rebuffing or repaint and some interior work, but all in all it is a sturdy car. I even drove it to Iowa over thanksgiving, which is a 750 mile trip one way and I made it there and back without any problems whatsoever! My phone number is 412-589-5001. Thanks! The underbody of the car is in good shape and the frame rails are also good. The only major rust is the half dollar sized hole under the driver's side door as seen in the video and another small hole about 12 inches to the left of that. I took some new pictures so if you would like to see them please send me your email address and I will send them to you. Due to spam and scam I will not take any offers sent directly to my email seriously! I dont want your "shipping company" to handle things for you because that is BS!!! You yourself must come to me for a title transfer.
