With 0-60 mph times in the mid five-second range, the SLK350 is one of the quickest cars in its class. It packs plenty of punch when taking off from a stoplight or accelerating onto the highway. 3.5 V6 delivers plenty of acceleration-producing torque at any engine speed: down low near idle, cruising at highway speed, or up near the redline. The SLK350 engine is impressively flexible. The SLK's rigid body structure reduces shakes and rattles and improves handling. The rack-and-pinion steering is precise, and well suited for point-and-shoot blasts through tight hairpins turns. Look wise, the SLK imitates the Mercedes McLaren SLR road car, which is hand-built in conjunction with the McLaren Formula 1 team and sells for $700,000. The resemblance is even more pronounced with its more aggressive air dams and side sills. The wedge-shaped SLK sports a long, sloping hood and a short rear deck with wide doors in between. For interior, seats are excellent, widely adjustable in a variety of directions; they are both comfortable and supportive. Long drives are no problem. What's most impressive inside this second-generation SLK is the giant leap in the quality of materials used. The rubberized vinyl covering the dash is soft, almost silky, and irresistible to touch. Switches and trim are silver against a dark background, and the buttons have a pleasant feel. The look is carbon-fiber/aluminum, and the ambiance is high-tech in an inviting rather than a steely cold way. Wood trim is absent and only comes with the Vavona wood trim package. There are two big gauges, ringed with chrome and surrounded with silver in the SLK, with the speedometer, clock and fuel gauge grouped on the left and a tachometer on the right. The needles in the SLK are white. The gauge faces are bright, legible and as attractive as any in the business. The most intriguing feature in this SLK is AirScarf system. It channels warm air to your neck and shoulders via dedicated registers in the headrests. It works quite well, teaming up with the seat heaters to make the SLK one of the most useful all-weather convertibles on the market. There are three fan speeds and automatic compensation for ambient temperature. At freeway speeds with both the top and widows lowered, one can barely feel a whisper of warm air from the vents. The trick is leaving the side windows up, in which case the flow of air is truly a warming blast. The retractable hardtop is as easy as it gets. Simply hold the button and 22 seconds later the top is either stowed under a smooth, hard cover behind the seats or back up over occupants' heads. H I S T O R Y PRIOR DAMAGE: Now for the history of this car, we bought this car from Insurance Company with the front left damage. Had a light Cosmetic damage.Parts that were replaced were New Oem Front bumper cover, left Fender, Rocker Moulding and Oem Xenon Headlights along with small miscellaneous parts. No aftermarket or damaged parts were used on this SLK. Front inner structure is all original untouched. Due to the left impact, the left side airbag was deployed which was replaced with the brand new Oem Airbag, purchased new from Mercedes Dealer. Airbags were completely serviced and reset to ensure their functionality.This SLK had no Frame damage. It runs and looks as new infact it looks alot better than other SLKs out there specially with its new aggressive look. This SLK comes with brand new 20" Wheels & Tires. Has a smooth and quite ride without any Shakes.NO DINGS OR DENTS.It appears to be very well maintained and very well taken care of.No signs of Smoke.This Slk still shines and smells like a new car. WHAT DOES REBUILT OR SALVAGE TITLE MEANS Many people are not familiar with the meaning of Rebuilt title, below is a brief explanation of the "Salvage verses Rebuilt Title" terminology: Salvage title basically means that the insurance company decided not to fix the car and paid off the owner. By declaring a car "Total Loss”, Insurance Company is taking themselves out of any liability issues in the future. Does that means the car is totaled, not always. Sometimes the car has minor damage but the parts are very expensive. Sometimes the owner does not want to get the vehicle repaired and depending on the Insurance Company and the year of the car, Insurance will pay off the car. If the car gets stolen then Insurance has thirty days to recover the vehicle, if the car is not recovered in thirty days, Insurance pays off the owner and once the car is recovered, it is brought to the auction as a Total Loss vehicle even if it did not have a single scratch on it. We have bought 'Total Loss" cars from Insurance companies with door dings, extremely minor fender bender, theft recovered vehicles with absolutely no damage. In brief Total Loss does not always mean that the car was in a bad wreck or had extensive damage. We do not buy anything with major damage. Now for Rebuilt title, once the repairs are completed, car is inspected by state for all repairs and a Rebuilt Title is issued, which means that the new owner will not have to get any inspection done to get the car back on the road. It saves a lot of trouble for buyers as they don’t have to get the car inspected or fill out any extra paper work as is the case with Salvage title. With rebuilt title, buyer can simply walk into the DMV and get the car registered without any repair documents or inspection work.
