1973 Project Bug! Up for bid is this great 1973 VW Beetle. I purchased it from a friend that needed the money due to his fathers death. My plains were to restore it. But due to the many other projects that I have, I want ever have the time. The odometer shows 54,555, I was told that it last ran around 2008 and my friends dad was driving it. It had been setting since then in his his shed. The body is in good shape except for some rust areas and small dents. The only major areas that I can see are a spot on the roof and two small rust holes in the pan. One of witch is under the battery try and another in the drivers side front floor board. I started trouble shooting the car when I got it to my house. I could get the 1600cc dual port engine to hit but never start. I found that the left head nuts were lose ( Not bad lose, alittle lose) and wouldn't hold compression. So I started tearing the motor down. I have all the parts to the motor, as complete as it was when I brought it home. All screws, nuts, and bolts are in a ziplock bag.The car has a clear Tennessee title.
