Vehicle Detail

Hello Take a look at my King Midget two passenger roadster. If you're not familiar with the background of these little cars, please go on line and search for "King Midgets". You'll find dozens of sites including those for the national owners club as well as several for history, parts, service and support plus a lively Yahoo chat group. You as a new owner will not be alone. This is one of the 4-5 thousand which were produced in Athens Ohio between 1957 and 1969 and we imagine that there are perhaps a few hundred remaining. A pair of KM's recently sold at a major collector car auction on the "SPEED" network for "substantially" more than what I'm asking for my car. It was restored several years before I acquired it and appears to have spent much of it's life as a weekend driver. The car has it's original 9.5HP Wisconsin air-cooled engine which propells it to speeds of up to 40-45 mph on level ground with a good tail wind. The transmission is automatic (two speeds forward and reverse). The top and side curtains are probably original and while not new are still in serviceable condition. Master and wheel cylinders were serviced a year ago and new tires, inner tubes, battery and muffler were fitted at about that same time. This is not a show car but it is a reliable daily driver that will attract a crowd no matter where you take it. PLEASE DO THINK CAREFULLY BEFORE BIDDING AS THESE CARS ARE NOT FOR EVERYONE ! ! ! I have Florida title and it is registered as an Antique Vehicle. If you are nearby Sebastian FL, please come and see and drive the car before bidding. Given enough time, you really could get in and drive this car home or else load it into the back of your pickup truck for inexpensive transport. Thanks for your time and consideration. djcraig37@comcast.net
