Vehicle Detail

1962 Dodge Dart 4 Dr. Owned this car for over 15 years, purchased from original 92 year old owner, pulled cracked 225, bought another, professionally rebuilt and installed, tires like new. Drove this car everyday for just under a year in 1998 to work and back in Fl, w/ A/C on). Then was transferred overseas. Since 2001 this car has been driven maybe 200 miles. It moved from garage to garage, storage unit to storage unit from Florida to Tennessee. Has not been rained on in 10 years. This car has A/C, (needs charge) PS, Astrophonic AM radio (tube) works great but needs a minute to warm up. Pushbutton torqueflite trans. Have original owners manual and photocopy of original FL title. I have the current clear TN title. Car does run and drive BUT since everything except the engine is original, it does need some work. The master brake cylinder is failing, the 225 needs a tune up (but runs well, slight miss in idle, no smoke, noise or leaks), front-end parts original and worn as is rear suspension, some of the climate control buttons require you gently pull back out to turn off vs pushing “off” button. All normal wear items but this dart is still on factory parts! Even though I drive it around the neighborhood to keep it running and it drives fine, I would NOT drive any distance on those front-end parts. The body is in very good condition with one repaint in it's life. Not a rust bucket, very, very minor spots. Drivers floor is a little thin due to small (and only rust hole) under dash where cowl drains rain water, so carpet sogged out many times over it's late life (before me) but no rust through. Interior is good for age, upholstery worn (front seats coming apart, padding/frame good), door panels, headliner, dash and armrests all good. Will send detailed pics to serious inquiries. NO TIRE KICKERS please. I'm not anxious to sell, clearly I've taken it everywhere I've lived! Price is firm! Need to get daughter a car. Questions? please ask! I’m all about FULL disclosure. Save those Mopars! Listed locally, reserve right to end early. On Apr-14-10 at 19:38:02 PDT, seller added the following information: The car is in Knoxville, TN, not Dandridge. On Apr-17-10 at 11:10:08 PDT, seller added the following information: Added a few more pics to see whole car. The underside has light surface rust, not scaly, chunky rust you could pick your way through, surface, not flakey or rust "holes". The small dent behind the rear door and related flattened trim occurred when the elderly (but wonderful) original owner clipped a gas pump, the "dent" is not on the door (thats a reflection). Some (poor) body work done on passenger front door. Few little "pop up" bubbles on trunk lid, not through. Surface rust at the attach points under the trunk lid, trunk solid. Trying to cover all the details. Thanks.
