Up for auction is my 1972 Datsun 240z at NO RESERVE. I purchased this car on eBay about 4 years ago with hopes of restoring it to its former glory, but four long years later, the car has been sitting is in my garage exactly the way I bought it and now needs to go. I will not bore you with meaningless details about the car, I am sure if you are looking at this auction you are well aware of the cars history and collectability, but I will tell you everything I know about the car. I purchased this Datsun as a non-running car and that is the cars present condition. I recently had a mechanic take a look at the engine and he determined that the car has low compression on the number one cylinder (this was not disclosed by former owner). This Datsun comes with the after market Weber Carburetors which were rebuilt last summer. Front windshield does have a crack on it, there is no radio, and the drivers side tail light has a small hole and although there is a some rust by the drivers door ( common problem with these Datsuns) the car is by no means a rust bucket and seems to be holding up well underneath (see pictures) There is a small hole in the floor pan where it looks like the previous owner tried lifting the car and did not do so properly, also pictured. I cannot comment on the cars driving condition of the car because as you can guess I have never driven the car. Everything is there, nothing is missing from the car, this car would make a perfect project car, great candidate for small block V8 conversion. Please keep in mind that car is non running vehicle so you will need to arrange for a tow truck of flat bed. NO RESERVE has been set on this auction; this car will go to the highest bidder. Please do not bid if you are not serious about buying the car. Once the Auction ends you will be required to pay a deposit of $100 dollars by form of PayPal within 48 hours, the rest due at time of pick up. If the deposit is not received with in 48 hours the car will be relisted on eBay and negative feedback will be posted. I have described the car as best I could; I have a clear title on hand. Also forgot to mention that the driver's side window is stuck in the down position and I have not been able to roll back up.
