It looks nice, runs great, and is an awesome driver. We have driven and enjoyed this C-Class Sport for over 50,000 miles and during that time it was flawlessly reliable and we experienced no major issues. I first purchased this car for my girlfriend in June of 2009. At that time the car had about 88,000 miles. We have owned this car since then and used it as an extra vehicle as our family grew and we needed more space. I was always very particular with maintenance and the car was always serviced at the recommended service intervals. The W202 Mercedes C-Class is an iconic design and they are built like tanks. The 2.8 Liter V6 engine is a tried-and-true reliable design that can last for hundreds of thousands of miles. This C280 sport has many years and thousands of miles of life left for its future owner. This car features the Mercedes Sport Package, which includes white faced gauges, special rims, and a more aggressive ground effect package on the body. This is also verified by the option code 956 on the data plate by the radiator, which is pictured below. The car is also loaded with other options such as the Bose sound system, 6-disc CD changer, power sunroof, automatic climate control, power seat, and folding rear seats. This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mercedes that is ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. This Mercedes is finished in the beautiful and highly desirable color combination of Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) over two-color Orion Gray (258). This is the correct and original color scheme as verified by the codes on the data tag by the radiator. Also included with the car are the original owners manual, books, tool kit, spare tire and rim, jack, maintenance booklet, first-aid kit, warranty booklet, and miscellaneous other items from when the car was sold new, which are all pictured below. If you have a question about the 560SL, just give us a call. condition Exterior The Brilliant Silver Metallic (744) exterior is in nice condition. As one can see in the photos, the paint has a great gloss, deep shine, and smooth finish. All of the doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The car exhibits great body panel fit overall. The wheels are in great shape with a nice finish. The Bridgestone Potenza tires have plenty of tread left. There are no major imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the photos. As one would except from a paintjob with this many years on it there are some small rock chips, dings, and other blemishes around the car that are too small to show up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about five or ten feet away. We have also included many photos of the underside to show how nice and clean it looks. Interior The original two-tone Orion Gray (258) interior of the C280 looks very nice. The seats look just in person as they do in the photos with no rips, tears, or excessive wear. The seat is not worn in the typical area on the driver's bolster where the driver gets in and out. The carpet is also in great condition. All of the "white face" gauge faces are crisp and the lenses are clear. The dash is in good condition with no fading or sun damage. The original door panels look great and the door pulls are solid and in tact. The original radio is still with the car. It works well and gets good reception, but the tuning button is loose and the volume knob is a bit touchy. Most importantly the dash has never been cut or modified for an aftermarket installation. The carbon fiber trim looks nice overall with no fading or cracks. The headliner has some sagging in certain areas. The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed with the 6-disc CD changer, original spare tire and rim, jack, trunk mat, and tool kit with the correct Mercedes wrenches. The excellent condition of this original interior is a huge testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has received throughout its life. Mechanical This C280 Sport appears to be in very nice mechanical condition. The engine starts right away every time and runs well. It is an exceptional driver that feels nice on the road and at highway speeds. In the video below one can observe the car accelerating on the highway up to about 70mph, shifting through all the gears, braking to a stoplight, and going through some curves. Please note that it runs great, there are no strange noises or vibrations, and the car performs quite nice overall. The brakes are responsive and do not pull to one side or the other. There is no blue smoke when starting or driving the car. It runs cool and does not overheat. I recently had new catalytic converters installed on the car and a new water pump. Also, the engine bay is clean, nicely detailed, and correct as one can see from the photos. Please note in the video that all of the warning lights work properly. They light up when the key is first turned on and then go off when the engine is started. There are no "check engine" or other warning lights that stay on. All of the gauges work as do all the exterior lights, indicators, rear defroster, horn, wipers, power seats, power windows, power locks, power sunroof, and blower for the heater and a/c on all speeds. The air conditioning works and blows cold. This Mercedes is smooth and quick with the V6 engine and handles awesome with the sport package. Not enough can be said as to how much of a pleasure it is to drive this car. Overall Condition Overall, this 2000 C280 Sport is in excellent condition and is a true bargain at our asking price. This car has been well cared for throughout its life and it has many more miles of service for the future owner. The Sport Package and 2-Tone Orion interior make this C280 especially desirable and attractive.
